After Drill Team and ISM, it is time for the whole school to have lunch. I finally arrive at our spot after walking all the way from D Hall, which killed my legs.
This honestly shows how lazy I am, which is pretty bad. I'm 16, not 60. I shouldn't be feeling dead after a walk.
Well technically, you are the one that hates working out. You did this to yourself.
But not working out shouldn't give me the stamina of an old person.
Anyway, I'm just gonna put this in my phone:
Go on more speedwalks, and stop eating Cheez-Its. Oh, and stop having midnight snacks. And how could I forget-
You're lazy, we get it. Now keep talking about life and stop straining your eyes.
Wh- Fine, ok.
Meanie.
Anyway...
By the time I get to our lunch spot near the Science hall, it's already packed. Luckily, Deepa waves at me, and with her being tall, it makes it a lot easier to find her and we sit down next to some of my other friends, who are with their own friends.
"Hi, Tatvika!" a voice comes from the side of me, and I look over to see Abinaya Reddy and Macy Lee.
I've known Abi since kindergarten, but she moved to Fremont when I was in third grade because her mom got a new job. But in a funny turn of events, her dad got a new job back in Dallas, so she came back right before freshman year. She's actually right behind me in rank, but like me, she doesn't like to brag about it. On an unrelated note though, she's so gorgeous. With her dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and almond skin tone, she's so effortlessly beautiful. And she's one of the sweetest and smartest people I know.
Macy is a whole other story, though. I've also known her since kindergarten, and she's always been super cool. She's on my school's soccer and volleyball teams, yet she manages to manage her extracurriculars with academics. She's ranked #6 in my grade! But it makes sense, though. She's smart-smart, and she has great time management skills. And with her long black hair, almond-shaped brown eyes, and olive skin tone, she's super pretty too!
"ABI! Hi! Hey, Macy! How was your summer?" I question excitedly as I give her and Macy a hug.
"It was good! I went to Bangalore, and it was so relaxing. But I mostly spent my time there at Orion Mall," she laughs at herself before continuing. "Did you do anything?" she asks me as she pulls out her sandwich.
"Nothing much, I just went to Orlando with Dee's family and that's it. It was pretty boring otherwise since I was just cramming for the SAT," I tell her as she nods her head, and an evil expression forms on Macy's face.
"So you went with Neil?" Oh, no. I know what's going to happen.
"Yup, Neil was there," I answer nervously as Macy turns her attention to Deepa. "Did Tia, at any point, get nervous or do something dumb?"
"Macy, what are you doing?" I cackle as I try to hide my face.
"Oh, yeah. When he asked her to go on a rollercoaster with him, she got so freaked out that she dropped an ice cream cone and he stepped on it. My older brother still trolls her for that," Deepa exposes me to which Vihaan, Vinnie, and her girlfriend Kat lose it.
"You ruined your ice cream for a guy? Wow, you really do like him," Abinaya jokes as I whack her forearm and hide my face.
"Hi, guys!" Speak of the devil. That fruity, deep voice is back, and...
Shit, he's right behind me, isn't he?
"Neil! What a surprise!" Macy waves at him as she exchanges a sneaky glance at me.
