Next day...

It's Saturday, one day after the prank fiasco happened. I cried watching Mahanati for the third time, and I accidentally fell asleep on Neil's... shin? I don't know, I just slept suddenly during the movie and woke up on Neil's shin since he was sitting on the sofa.

Dang, I guess he just has really soft legs.

Still, it was weird.

But anyway, after a pretty crazy day yesterday, I need some clarification. And some serious divine intervention, if you know what I mean.

Luckily, I get that today because it's temple day! Time to lowkey talk to myself and hope that God is listening.

Even though I'm so groggy, I wake up and went to do my long, LONG morning routine.

As I look at myself in the mirror while brushing my teeth, I begin to recollect everything that happened last night.

Tripti Venrar and Manoj Grover are dating. I repeat, my OLDER SISTER and Neil's OLDER BROTHER are dating!

And... I think Neil is really cute.  This is INCEST!

Wait, what? That's not what I meant.

I'm really groggy today, aren't I?

I finish up my shower and wrap a towel around myself. I then made my way to my closet to pick out what I need to wear. I end up picking a long yellow Kurti with a pair of white tights. A Kurti is basically an Indian version of a dress, which usually has slits on the sides. Kurtis can either be worn with leggings or wide-legged pants called salwar pants.

I pick out a matching ombre white and yellow chiffon dupatta, or scarf, to go with my outfit. After putting on a small bottu and brushing my hair, I'm ready to go.

I make my way downstairs and see both my parents drinking coffee. My dad is drinking coffee while watching some news on the TV, and my mom is drinking tea as she looks at her phone. Krish is walking into the kitchen looking like a grease pot as he drinks water, and Tripti is staring at her laptop while having coffee.

Mostly every morning is like this. Ma always drinks her coffee and looks at the news and other things on her phone. Pa reads the news too, but it's mostly Indian politics (I don't really know). Krish can't go a single day without doing his morning workout. That's probably why he always manages to look the same despite eating an entire horse on some days. And Tripti, well, has always been a workaholic.

"Tia? Yenne panre (what are you doing), ma?" My mom's voice snaps me back to reality, and I take in everything around me.

Ma and Pa are still in their pajamas having breakfast, and I'm here completely ready before them.

Okay, maybe I'm a little too excited for today. Crap, I'm an idiot.

"Normally you aren't very excited about Saturdays. At all." My dad looks up from his newspaper and looks at me with confusion.

"What changed?" Krish steps into the conversation as he goes to the fridge to get some water, a playful smirk on his face.

OH, HE BETTER NOT.

I don't know, because I found that Manoj and Tripti are together and I think Neil is cute. So I'm probably committing incest by thinking that. Also, I don't want school to kill me when it just started. I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!

Yeah no, I'm not saying that. What do I say so I don't sound like an idiot?

"Uh, today is a... special day?" I hesitantly answer as Krish scans me up and down, trying to see if I crack under pressure.
