Ew, it's Monday? I think to myself as I get up to the annoying tune of my alarm. I was even more groggy this morning than last Monday.

Last night, I don't know what happened, but I had really weird dreams. And what's even worse was that they were about Neil...

Before anyone thinks anything bad, I DIDN'T MEAN THAT KIND OF WEIRD. He was just in the dream, offering me the ring he proposed to me with.

Now that I think about it, I really want that ring. It's so pretty! I spent a few seconds debating whether I should ask him for the ring or not.

Ugh, screw it. It's no use asking him for anything, I tell myself and I slowly get out of bed.

I trudge to the bathroom, and I begin to brush my teeth. While I was brushing, a black thing just falls from the ceiling.

I immediately stop brushing, and I try to squint at this object. I wear contacts, and without them my vision literally sucks.

Just then, this black thing starts moving, and I realize that it's a bug. A giant bee was flying around my bathroom. I immediately start to shriek.

I HATE bugs. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them. They're gross, and just... yeah. They're gross. Even though I'm 16, I still can't get rid of a bug by myself. I'm such a wimp.

I am so mortified that I run out of my room, where my lovely brother hears my screaming.

"Shut up, will you? Why are you screaming like that?" he asks in an irritated tone as he covers his ears.

"There's a bee in my room!" I cry in disgust, and Krish facepalms.

"It's just a bee. Can't you just get rid of it yourself? You don't have any time anyway," he adds on, and I start to whine.

"You want me to get rid of that thing in my room?" I rant, and I can tell that he's starting to get fed up.

"Ugh, fine. Wait right here, I'll get rid of it. I'm not doing this for you again," he promises.

"We'll see about that," I wink and he rolls his eyes as he moves up the stairs.

After around a minute, he comes out of the room with a grumpy expression.

"Come on, is getting rid of a bug that bad? I thought I was the one scared of them," I mock, as he grunts "whatever" and comes to the bottom floor. He's never been a morning person, anyway.

"Where's Ma and Pa?" I ask him curiously. Usually, in the mornings, Ma and Pa were wearing their business clothes sipping coffee.

"They went to work early today cause Pa and Manish uncle had to sign the contracts," he confirms.

"What are you doing? Go take a shower. The bug's gone," he instructs as I realize that I had only 20 min left to get ready.

"Crap!" I shout as I bolt up the stairs and finish washing up.

I always take such a long time to get ready. My parents always tell me to get ready faster since I'm wasting a lot of time on my morning routine. Even though I know they're right, I can't help it! Whenever they tell me this, I always give the excuse: "It takes a long time to look this good."

I pick out a pair of jeans and I pick out a red short-sleeved crop top. After putting in my contacts and applying some perfume, I make my way downstairs, where Krish looks at me as if I drank curdled milk. With some disgust, but mainly concern.

"You know Amma is going to kill you for wearing that, right?" he warns, and I make a face. Although my parents let me wear what I want, one of the main exceptions were crop tops. I tried to explain that the shirt I was wearing only exposes my stomach if I raise my hands or something, but they still don't let me wear it.
