Same night...

Neil's POV-

"SURPRISE!"

As soon as Arjun takes off the blindfold, I jump back as I hear the screams all around me.

Wait a minute, this isn't our house. It's... Tweet's house.

Wait. Hold up.

Did they actually just throw a surprise party for us? And we didn't find out before?

I'm pretty impressed. Every time they tried throwing a party for us, it just never happened.

I look at everyone in front of me. I can see my parents, Matt, and my teammates, my friends, and their families, and many more people. But my eyes land on one person in particular.

And I'm guessing you guys know who it is.

Tia's standing right in front of me, making eye contact with me and winking. Her short brown hair frames her face perfectly, and it shines in the light with hues of red in there. Her pink lips add a bright pop of color to her already glowing face. She has the right amount of makeup to bring out her bright brown eyes.

I can feel my cheeks getting a little flushed as I look at the purple crop top and the black skirt she's wearing.

Damn, she just made me like purple even more. Crap, why do I sound like a creep?

Everyone comes over to us and gives both of us a hug and wishes us. I make some small talk with some people before I walk to Tweet's giant living room. There, the entire gang is sitting on the sofas smiling.

"Guys, how did you guys manage to do all this?" Deepa asks them in disbelief as she puts her gifts down.

"It took a lot of planning, honestly. We've been planning it since the beginning of November. Everyone was in on it," Vihaan starts as both of us start to look impressed.

"The house looks really nice. Who picked out the decorations?" Deepa asks as she looks around. Purple, blue, and gold adorn every corner of the house.

As I look outside to where Tweet's backyard is, I can see a giant 3 tiered ombre cake on the patio table. Each tier is a different color with a hint of glitter. I'm betting on my life that it's a D&S cake. I don't eat any cake except for their cake.

"Your parents did! They wanted to use your favorite colors," Vinnie describes as I start to feel a little mushy on the inside.

I honestly didn't think my friends liked me enough to do this for me.

For Deepa, yeah. Everyone loves her.

But for me? Let's just say I'm not the favorite.

I did them so dirty when I entered high school. I abandoned them instead of letting them help me with my issues. I meant what I said to Arjun earlier.

I literally don't deserve any of this.

I can feel myself starting to tear up a little but I quickly calm myself down. I don't want anyone to see me cry. Who does? I'm an ugly crier.

"You guys must be hungry," Tweet's mom comes up to the both of us and escorts us to her kitchen. Across the island, there's an assortment of all kinds of food. My sister and I's mouths start to water just looking at everything. There's samosas, naan, paneer subji, biryani, raita, and noodles on one side.

On the other side, there's fettuccine alfredo, pizza, and all sorts of desserts. I can see some ice cream, ras malai, and wait... is that JALEBI?!

Holy shit, they're trying to make me explode with all this food.
