4:30 pm...
Tia's POV-
I have around an hour and a half till Neil's game starts, so that means that I can get a huge headstart on my homework. I have a lot this week, after all.
I walk up to my room to pull out my stuff. After that, I start the homework grind.
I decide to get my B-day classes out the way and then my A day classes so that I don't have a jumble of homework to worry about. It's also because my A day homework is so much less of a brain-fart than my B-day homework.
For APUSH, I have to read 50 pages worth of my textbook and write notes. Believe me, it sounds as boring as it looks. But I have to be at least 5% motivated because I have a quiz over these readings, so RIP.
The Seven Years War between Great Britain and France plunged Britain into debt despite their victory. Because they needed to regain revenue, they abandoned their previous method of salutary neglect over the colonies and started taxing them, starting with Parliament passing the Stamp Act in 1765. Blah, blah, blah blah, blah.
Conscience, can't you concentrate for one second? Do me a favor and put those margaritas away to help me read this.
It's not margaritas today. It's VODKA, baby.
I honestly don't care. I need my brain on full focus if I want to get a 100 on the History quiz.
Ugh, fine. You're such a killjoy.
And you're annoying. Glad we stated the obvious.
The colonists were obviously upset at the new development because they didn't have any representation in Parliament to prevent this from happening, and this was the first time where England was controlling them to such a high extent.
There, I think we're finally getting in the hang of things.
After 30 minutes of reading about the causes of the American Revolution and writing some notes over everything, my APUSH homework is finally finished.
Watch me forget everything I just read on the day of the quiz. It's like every time I feel like I studied pretty well, I end up becoming a blank slate on the day of the actual test.
Yeah, I'm gonna be screwed if that happens. Especially since the reading quizzes are NEVER open-note.
So... conscience, you know the drill.
DON'T. FORGET. THE. READING.
Yes, ma'am.
I then move to Spanish, which is just a few questions over an article we're reading. That takes around 15 minutes, along with 10 minutes of making sure I wrote everything correctly. After finishing up a quick SOAPSTone chart for AP Lang, my A day homework is finally done! And it's a new record too. This is legit the shortest time I've ever taken to do homework.
But you know, now I have B-day homework.
Whoopee, the struggles of junior year.
I'm about to start my video-notes for Pre-Cal homework, but my phone starts ringing out of nowhere. I frantically look around for about 5 seconds until I realize that... it was in my hand the entire time.
At this point, why do I even have friends? I'm such a nutjob all the time.
"Welp, I have to answer it then," I flip my phone back on the side to see that the caller ID was... Neil?
This has to be an emergency. Neil NEVER calls me. He always spams my messages and WhatsApp until I reply. It's so annoying, but it works for him since I always reply to make him quit it.
