Chapter 28: A Thousand Degrees

The next day...

"HEY!" I scream at Samiya as I open the door to see her forming an evil face. 

A while ago, Neil texted me saying that he wants us to wear our PJs and come to Arjun's room. I'm guessing we're doing a staying in and watch movies thing, but you never know with those two.

Right now, I'm wearing this super cute set that's made of a loose off-shoulder, mauve-colored top, and these super cute black/white plaid colored shorts. Arjun already texted Sam saying the same thing Neil told me, so she's already here wearing her PJs. 

She's wearing a mustard yellow short-sleeved crop top with Spongebob on it that's paired with some adorable black and blue pants. In her hand, she's holding a hoodie since it's a bit cold outside right now.

"I love your pajamas, bro! They're so cute," I compliment and she strikes a pose.

"Let's just talk about your set though. I see you, I see you," she returns it.

"Okay, Vi just finished his event, so he and Jacob are going back to their hotel rooms to change and freshen up. That means we have about... 10 minutes to do our thang," Vinnie inferences, and Deepa sits both of us down on my bed.

"We have some magic to work on you guys," Dee declares and she grabs some of my tinted lip balms. She uses a combination of coral pink and scarlet red to give my lips a slight pop of color, and she then adds some shimmery lip gloss to make them look less dead than usual. Simultaneously, Vinnie goes at my hair and starts teasing it.

I feel like a movie star right now! But they always know how to make a person feel special.

And as if Vinnie is a superhero, she also starts doing Sam's hair at the same time. She makes her hair a little messy and her side bangs a little wispy. Sam always wears light makeup, so she already has that covered.

"Goddamn, the guys are gonna need some help," Deepa whistles and looks us up and down.

Deepa is bringing out her inner fashionista, wearing a ribbed cropped grey sweater with some black skinny jeans that show off her built legs. She added some slight waves in her hair, and her red lipstick makes her eyes pop.

Meanwhile, Kat is wearing a looser version of her outfit, with a dark green asymmetrical blouse that's tied to the side with some loose white jeans.

Vinnie's wearing a cold-shoulder, floral, sky-blue blouse with some skinny dark-wash jeans. Her hair is in a half-bun, making her look adorable yet stylish.

Why aren't they a glam squad again?

"Yeah, I think we did our jobs," Kat gives Dee and Vin and they both look so confident in their creations. We both go to the mirrors, checking ourselves out as if we've never looked this good.

"Thank you, guys! Y'all were so nice for doing this," Samiya hugs everyone and I just jump in there.

"You guys don't even need to ask. Now go and have some fun! And Sam, if those two make out, you know where to find me." Deepa does the "eye-on-you" thing and we say bye to her before we put on our shoes. Sam's wearing some bunny slippers while I'm wearing some Converse.

The others then grab their shoes, Dee wearing some tan ankle boots, Kat wearing white Birkenstocks, and Vinnie wearing some navy blue sandals.

"Bye, guys! Have fun and send pics!" we tell them and they say bye to us before we leave the hotel room.

"What do you think those two planned?" Sam wonders as we go to the elevator. "I honestly have no idea. All I know is that Neil's cooking," I respond as I press the button.
