After about 5 minutes or so of us trolling Manoj and him trolling us, we reach my house. I quickly go up to my front porch, but I notice that Manoj follows us right behind.

"It's okay, Manoj. You don't have to follow me," I offer but he refuses. "No, no. It's fine, besides I wanna see your mom! It's been a while," he chirps with a smile as I ring my doorbell.

Neil and Dee stand at the bottom of the porch awkwardly, not really knowing what to do. I look back at Dee, who gives me a clenched smile.

"What are you guys doing?" Manoj asks them as Neil shrugs.

"Aren't you just dropping her off?" Neil asks him to which Manoj scoffs.

"I am. But come on, you barely talk to Tatvi's mom. Where are your manners? Aarav's etiquette classes clearly didn't teach you anything," he jokes as Neil rolls his eyes and both twins walk up the porch towards my front door.

"Can I ring the doorbell now?" I ask innocently, to which Neil laughs and says, "go ahead." I quickly press the silver button on my ring, and soon enough, my mom comes in 5 seconds.

"Oh, I didn't expect you all to come! Hi!" she greets happily while opening the door. This is when I take the time to notice the house.

I know that most of the time, the lights in my house are off to conserve power. But why are all the lights off? Like all of them? I can't see anything.

"Hi, aunty!" Manoj says hi back as we all step inside the house. Right after Neil and Dee step inside, my mom closes the door quickly to avoid the bugs coming in.

"Amma, why is it so dark in here?" I ask my mom as she looks around. "Oh, there was no one in the house." But I saw her eyes darting around, she was thinking of an excuse.

But seriously, an excuse for what?

"Neil! Deepa! How are you?" my mom notices and they smile excitedly. "We're good, aunty! How are you? Did Tripti and Krish come home yet?" Deepa asks as my mom gives them a hug.

"Yes, they have! They're just upstairs putting everything away. Aarav also came, he visited me earlier," she clarifies as they both nod their head and look at each other evilly.

As we walk inside further, I notice that my feet are stepping on something weird. It feels like plastic or something, nothing like the hardwood.

My mom quickly says, "let me turn on the light, one second," but who knew that it would be a frickin' trap? The moment she turns on the light switch, a flash of cold immediately comes over me. It's like someone dumped ice on me, the chills flowing all over my body.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL F***?!" Manoj says as I look over at him to the left. There's a tipped bucket above his head that's hanging from a pillar near my door. His hair flops on his face as the cold water drips from it, and it soaks into his shirt and jeans. I look above me, and the same thing was there too! There was a purple bucket hanging on top of me, dripping ice water.

Deepa looks at the water dripping from her blouse and jeans and yells, "Ok, who the hell planned this? I wore JEANS, GUYS! WITH A CHIFFON SHIRT!"

Neil, though, is the funniest for me actually. Since his hair is so messy, his hair literally covers his eyes. He moves the hair out of his face and rubs his eyes as he walks in place to get the excess water off of him.

And then, they all look at me.

"Tweet, did you know about this?" Neil asks as we all look at each other in shock. Like, did this just happen?

"No, I had no idea! Who planned this?" And as if God heard me again, someone says, "GOTCHA!" and we all look over to see... Neil's family and my family standing right in front of us in the living room.
