"Mama!" Running down the hallway you bumped into a familiar swollen tummy.

"What did I say about running around in the halls sweetheart." Warm arms carried you up to your mother's bosom as she kissed your pink dusted cheek. "You're growing up so fast, maybe next time I won't be able to carry you like this anymore, huh? Y/N." Her soft voice rang in your ear.

"Good morning mama!" You kissed back her cheek.

"Eden, you're up early." A little toddler popped her head out the corner.

"Eden!" You ran towards your sister and carried her up to your mother as the baby smiled brightly at the sight of her mother. "Mama, do you think she can hear us now?"

A small sigh emitted from her mouth. "Probably not that clearly." She rested the baby on her hips carrying her to the dining table. Eden was born with a hearing deficiency. It was hard for her to understand, what it seemed like, small mumbles coming from others' mouths.

Darkness buried that memory as another one came into view.

"Y/N listen to me." With both of her warm hands on either side of your face she wiped your tear from the corners of your reddened cheek. "There will come a day where I will not remember you as I once did. So please, mama ask for your forgiveness if she forgets you." You nodded in response to her honey like voice. Tears threatened to fall down from her face. She didn't want to let her child know that the emotional pain was eating her up inside. "Please forgive your mother. The thing is." She pulled you up into an embrace as you loudly sobbed on her shoulder. "I don't ever want to forget my little babies." She choked on her words making it harder for her to speak properly. "I want you to know that I still l-love you." She held you tighter. "Even if Mama forgets. Would you still love me." That moment was the first time she broke down in front of you. Her cry buried your response so you nodded your head into her chest.

"What ever happens, I'll still love you m-mama."

Your mind was brought back into a stage of dark abyss.

"Mama! Miss Mabel gave me some of her cranberry bread!" You smiled as you ran towards her. She sat quietly on a rocking chair as you approached her.

"Mama?" Your mother questioned.
"Y/N, I know that you miss your mother but, before she comes back, please refrain from calling me that." She tucked a small strand of (h/c) hair behind you ear as a stream of steady tears rolled down your face. "Y/N please don't cry, I know how much you miss her."

"But mama, it's me! Remember! Y/N!" You pulled on her dress, you couldn't believe that she lost her memory sooner than you've anticipated.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, But I'm not your mother."

A rush of adrenaline woke you up from your slumber. Salty liquid began its journey down your face as you remembered the heartbreaking moment of your past. Your heart pounded at the rapid pace making it uncomfortable. "B-But I'm right here." Those words escaped from your trembling mouth as you curled up into a ball to comfort yourself. Soft rays of light beamed through a small window beside your bed. A sharp decrease in your energy struck you as you propped yourself up from your bed. A pool of dried up blood waiting to be discovered seeped through your white sheets. Immediately standing up your head pulsates due to the sudden movement causing your head to ache. A fiery sensation swarmed the back of your throat as you tugged the sheets away from the mattress.

I've lost too much.

Observing the blood soaked cloth that you place beside the door you headed towards the bathroom with a spare clothes and the medical supplies to patch yourself up again. Taking the red stained shirt off your body you proceeded to carefully remove the gauze pad you've placed the night before. The wound happened to reopen last night causing a lot of blood to disperse on your bed. Oxidized blood surrounded the injured area. You quickly disposed of the pad and stepped into the shower to wash off the excessive amount of dried blood around your body.
