"Thank you all for joining me this afternoon." As Erwin joined you all at the table, you began to pour piping hot tea into each of the meeting participants cups. As soon as you got to your mother, you greeted her with a kiss to the cheek as she did the same before you settled down beside Levi.
"Mrs. Arlynn Lahnet, I'm sure that I've introduced myself before, but let me do it again," The blond haired Commander folded his hands on the table. "I am Erwin Smith, Commander of the scouts regiment. Here with me is Captain Levi Ackerman and Squad Leader Hanji Zoe who is also in charge of the testing division." As your two colleagues gave either a wave of a nod to your mother, Erwin began his presentation.
"I brought you all here today to discuss about Captain Y/N Lahnet's family and her origin." Turning to a slim pile of documents, Erwin proceeded. "Mrs. Lahnet, your husband Rowland and your son Marshal, are you aware about the cause of their deaths?"
"Afraid not, Commander." Your mother winced at something as she looked like she was experiencing a bit of discomfort.
"It was rather difficult to retrieved files concerning their execution but I've managed to get my hands on them and it is stated here clearly, Ma'am, that you were present at their execution as a witness." Erwin cocked a brow as he glanced at the woman in curiosity. "I'm aware that your memories aren't as vivid as years ago but, do you remember anything about the incident?"
Her eyes slowly widen as her lips trembled in fear. A look of complete terror loomed over her wrinkled expression. "I-I..." Your mother's hands trembled into her face as she wept silently.
"Mother." Your eyes were filled with concern as you tried to reach for her shoulder.
"Ma'am we think that the execution of your spouse and son has something to do with the time your daughter, Y/N, transformed into a full blown Titan during the 23rd expedition that nearly eradicated two thirds of the scout regiment."
"Titan?" Suddenly she glanced right at you, her complexion drew pale as her swollen under eyes slowly grew red. You were a bit drawn back as to how your mother reacted. Her expression changed as if something dawned on her. She wasn't surprised at all.
"Mom, what's wrong?" You spoke as you furrowed your brows together. "What are you thinking?"
"Y/N, I-I remember everything."

"Ever since that man came by our house, something felt extremely familiar and unsettling about him. I didn't know why but my body began to tremble so I told my kids to hide in their rooms. Mother's intuition I thought at the time but, days after he visited, I remembered who he was."
"Who?" You asked with curiosity filling your mind with an abundance of questions.
"He was the one who killed your father and Marshal!" She yelled at you in frustration at the current situation. There was a look of her pain that hovered over her like a small storm cloud. In response, your eyes began to tingle as you thickly swallowed the hardened lump forming in your throat, preventing yourself from balling in front of everyone.
"He was after you Y/N! Your papa and Marshal did everything to protect you. It's was either that I give you up to him or he temporarily suppresses any memories of the truth of your abilities and everything surrounding that." Your poor broken mother croaked. "I raised you up to be a sweet normal girl, Y/N. All I wanted was to cherish one of the last things I had left. I tried everything to make sure that the truth never reached your ears." She confessed.
"Your memories-" You were interrupted by her again.
"My resurfacing memories was the reason why my head spun." She shook her head laughing at herself for being weak. "He only allowed me to live since I would be responsible for raising my daughter till something about a queen awakens." Erwin's intrigued expression over his face as he began to process everything the woman said.
