A warm sensation fell upon your wakening. Running your fingers through your disheveled hair you sat up on your bed to realize your were all alone. You could barely make out a conversation on the other side of the door. Blinking a few times to become aware of your surroundings as you were half asleep. A sigh of relief escaped your lips as you made your bed. Neatly folding the sheets to its original state and fluffing the pillows were your first priority.
"Well, good morning sweetheart." Your mother, who noticed your presence, smiled delightfully as she refilled Levi's cup with tea. "Looks like someone enjoyed their sleep." Smiling brightly, you helped yourself to chair, joining the two.
"How long were you awake for?" You asked the raven haired man.
"Fifteen minutes ago." He sighed as he took a sip of the tea. "Your tea," He paused and shifted his gaze to the woman. "It's really good..." although his words were bland to hear, your mother was delighted at his comment.
"It's jasmine tea. It's good for your heart and for your sleep. My husband would find it hard to sleep at night but this did the trick." She offered Levi some left over cranberry bread from yesterday.
"I see..."
"MAMA!" A pair of small footsteps pattered down the hall. "Can we..." Still in his sleep wear, Carter made a look of a lost puppy. Cute eyes begging for you to say yes. Little thumbs twidling around. "Go outside and play? With Captain Levi and everyone?" You could tell he adored your colleague.
"Of course." Mrs. Lahnet was open to the idea. "But, I have customers coming over... I don't think I'll be joining your fun excursion." Your mother was a herbalist. Over the years she's gain a good reputation around the city for her natural medicine. Since opening a shop would be to much of a hassle, being a single mother, she has her customers stop by the house for new medication and or refills. Catrise, who was your mother's assistant, would stop by the house every time to help out. "Y/N, would you be kind enough to take them to the fields." She requested. "Bring them back before lunch."
"Of course." Your response made the woman smile in adoration.

"So, what were you both talking about?" Walking beside Levi, you carrying a small basket of snacks to take along. Carter and Eden were a couple steps ahead of you, busy looking at the merchandise the booths had to offer.
"We were talking about how much of an idiot you are." He teased making you pout in a cute way. "What, I answered your question, didn't I?"
"Oh sorry kid, didn't see you there!"
Shifting your attention ahead of you, a familiar face apologized to your younger brother. Carrying a heavy crate he placed it down to pat the boy's head.
"Sorry sir, I didn't mean to bump into you." Carter lowered his head in guilt.
"Oh no, I think that I was at fault here." The man's auburn hair fixed in a way that was oddly familiar. A black apron tied around his waist as he wore a simple white button up dress shirt.
"Tch. He's here!?" Levi scoffed which only made you more confused.
Does Levi know him?
"Oh! Y/N! Is that you? What are you doing in this part of town?" The man picked his crate back up and approached you.
"Are you serious, you still don't know? He's the one who sent you that letter, idiot." Levi muttered under his breath as the man drew in closer.
