"The woman that was found dismembered in an alley is, Melina Heiman. A divorcee who was reported to be missing a year ago." Erwin stated as he glanced out the dimly lit window. With a small flickering candle to light up his room, you and Levi sat by the table set aside against the wall.

"Melina?!" You pondered loudly as a set of memories flooded your mind causing you to wince at the first wave of  throbbing head pain that dawned on you. "Her ex husband came one or two weeks ago to pickup his child at headquarters." Your brows furrowed as the pulsating ache rose to its peak. Squeezing your forearm in hopes of lessening the discomfort to a manageable state, Erwin's eyes shot open in curiosity.

After the whole lecture Levi gave the two boys, you both immediate got word of Erwin's request to meet with you. Something about his message drew concern as his tone seemed rather urgent. Dusk fell upon the earth with its final golden rays before midnight struck. You took a discrete carriage, accompanied with Levi, to Erwin's place. A discussion concerning the matter that took place a few days ago transpired in this meeting.

"His name? What is the ex husband's name."

"Luis." Levi replied in your behalf as he inches a cup of tea towards you. Mouthing a thank you, the blonde male seemed to shuffle through a small pile of documents that gathered around a small table beside him.

"Luis..., Ralpha." Pin pointing various information together. "Might there be a chance that he is related to Ausia Ralpha in Hanji's sub division years ago, along with you?"

"He is. They're cousins." You stayed lifting the cup to your lips.

"I see..." He muttered. "From what I've gathered... Melina was the one who filed for a divorce. The reason is what's peculiar." He scratched the tip of his chin as he flipped through a couple of pages. "Turns out she grew up as a run away who then married a man many years later. That man, Luis Ralpha, actually turns out to be the head of the manufacturing company that provides all the branches of the military their weaponry and gear. The reason for divorce was because their first child was a girl."

"No one would even get a divorce over that." You asserted placing the now empty tea cup on the table. The aching pain in your head subsided for the time being but the affects of it still made your mind to be rather tired. "There must be a motive to that divorce."

"Not necessarily motive," Levi joined, crossing his legs as one of his arms swung around the ear of the wooden chair. "This sounds more like her and her husband was being controlled."

"Would you care to expand on that Levi." Erwin rose his brow as he was deeply intrigued by the claims the inky haired man made.

"Well think about it," He began. "While Mikasa and I were staking out the place, while waiting for Y/N to send us a signal, the kid noticed a group a carts huddled together and what it seemed like civilians with our gears. I can only assume that Luis provided those."

"And what about Melina?" You inquired.

"She was just a distraction. Our main focus was on you the whole time." Levi started straight into your eyes. "Someone had to have know we were conducting an undercover investigation."

"So you implying that there is a mole?"

"There's no possible way that we have a mole in our group. I've already thought about that possibility but the only thing that really explains everything is that the group responsible for all of this has been on to us since the beginning."

Your eyes widen in disbelief. That whole undercover operation was a part of their plan to cover up what was truly going on while eliminating a treat like you.
