Sickness often came in waves rather than one thing at a time. A persistent urge to empty the contents of your stomach weighed heavily on you as you waited out what it seem to be like an endless wave of discomfort. Droplets trickled down your exhausted complexion as you bathed under the sun, eyes closed only letting the warmth shine through your eye lids as you let out a groggy sigh. Throat clenching, you tried in a desperate manner to swallow away any sickly feeling. No matter how much effort you put into cooling yourself down with the water the stream from a near by river, the heat still rose to your chest. It was a bad day to be feeling this way. With the scout regiment labeled as criminals and a 'rogue militia' there was no realistic way to get back to headquarters in one piece. With this frail state, you'd only become a drag.

Odd enough that the affects of the poison now just surface but what was strange was that you only suffered with a high temperature head and frequent episodes of involuntary shaking. To think that you were safe from those violent throat pains from awhile back was the only silver lining under these circumstances. Hot tears welded at the corners of your eye before it journeyed down your extremely heated face as if it evaporated into thin air. You were in no mood to cry but the heat was doing it's worse, prying out any form of hydration from your body to cool itself down.

I wonder how mom is doing. You caught yourself dissociating to make the current discomfort more bearable as your forehead erupted next in a cold sweat. You were shaking, but you weren't cold. I need to head back. Hanji specifically said that I shouldn't stray away from Levi. With a dark cloak over your frail trembling frame, you returned back to the temporary camp.

Rustling through the small shrubs and small forest greenery, you quickly found yourself at the camp. "You alright?" Levi asked as he sat beside the brunt out fire wood that was underneath a empty cauldron. You shook your head as you sighed heavily, taking a seat next to him.

"The water was nice till it lasted." You averted your eyes towards the forest floor as your ruffled your digits through the lightly damp baby hairs framing your ill face. Connie and Sasha glanced at you with remorseful eyes, they pitied the state you were in.

"Captain." A voice came from the approaching path belonging to a familiar face along with two other scout subordinates. Carrying a sack behind their back and a piece of paper in their hand. "We bought the supplies." Jean stated as the trio began to gather up all the sacks into one pile. Armin was the first to approach the stoic man beside you with the paper in his hand.

"The MP's were handing out these flyers." Reaching his arm out for Levi to take the paper from him. Levi grabbed the flyer and drew it close for you to see as well. "If this is true, then the scouts will be disbanded." A poorly drawn image of what you supposed to be a 'Captain Levi' was displayed on the side of the article containing false accusations and rumors. "They say that they'll be hunting for us in the mountains tonight. They're also posting guards on all the vital roads, no one can get in through them without a pass." Mikasa joined in as Armin continued to inform you both of the current situation. "So Captain, what now?"

"We need to hurry and find Eren." Mikasa added.

"He'll be fine." Their Captain reassured. "They're taking him on a wagon. That gives us one day before they reach Reiss' estate and we need every second we can get to come up with a plan."

You opened your mouth ajar as you exhaled the heat building up in your body. Your shoulders rose up and down, letting out a few quiet huffs till you noticed Sasha perk up like a deer freezing when it sensed a suspicious presence. "Captain..." She whispered alerting the others. "I hear footsteps." A silence gasp left the teens mouths as they looked at every direction possible. Your heart skipped a beat as you too were worried about the possible enemies that lurked around the perimeters of your camp. "Sounds like they're approaching."
