Magnus walked turned around from Alec who had the most distraught and heart broken look on his face that Magnus had ever seen but nonetheless he walked away without looking back. He couldn't look back he knew that he wouldn't have the restraint in him to walk away if he did chance a second glance so without looking back he walked out of the staff room out of the cafe, walking further and further away from the only one that ever loved him unconditionally for who he was. He got half way home and could feel the tears coming and were threatening and Magnus was trying his best to hold them back. He couldn't start crying in public that was the kind of thing he did private. He had to get home now. He looked around for a a side street or an allyway, he finally found one but it was occupied by what looked like a drug deal happening. Magnus went to turn back round when he heard one of the people behind shout "oi Magnus!" Magnus was stopped in his track the voice sounded oddly familiar, he turned around and was confronted with Lorenzo; a warlock and Heidi; a vampire both of which Magnus knew that they both worked for Camille and suddenly felt a rage within him, a rage Magnus didn't know if he could control and due to Magnus' magic being controlled by his emotions this meet could end very bad. "Lorenzo, Heidi" he said bitterly with a nod. Magnus went turn around again "your not going anywhere before we can talk" it was Heidi. Magnus turned round to find Heidi walking towards him "you give your precious Alexander our best" she said with a wink and that was the last straw for Magnus he couldn't control it any longer. His cat eyes were showing "AND YOU CAN TELL CAMILLE SHE GOES NEAR ALEC. DOES ANYTHING TO HURT HIM. I WILL KILL HER MYSELF!" He snarled at them and before he could stop himself a blast of red magic came out of his hands and hit both Lorenzo and Heidi Sending them both flying and knocked them both out unconscious. Magnus then opened a portal and stepped through finding himself in his loft to which he just collapsed breaking down into tears.
It has been about 10 minutes since Magnus had walked away from Alec while taking his own heart with him. He was still sat on the staff room floor in a sobbing mess. Within that 10 minutes Underhill had come to the locked staff room but Alec waved him away he didn't want to talk to anyone, to be left alone was all he wanted right now. Alec finally stood himself up and walked over to the water dispenser got himself a drink and downed it in one. He felt a pain inside like nothing he had ever felt before he pulled out his phone to check the time and ended up just staring at his home screen which was of him and Magnus and that pain become greater until it was becoming unbearable. He needed this pain to end and he knew there was only one answer in order to end this and he knew exactly where to go. He sent a text to Underhill telling him he has gone home and told him to lock up. After he sent it instead of going through the front and risk being seen he went through the back way and intended on going home. So time went by and Alec still wasn't home which he should've been by now but instead he found himself outside a bar 'The Hunters Moon' the place him and Magnus had their first date it was also the place where they both realised their true feelings for each other. Just standing here thinking about that night was causing Alec more pain he could feel his heart or what was left of it breaking all over again. He eventually decided to call a taxi to ensure he did make his way home. The taxi came and took him home he stepped out and walked into his house took off his jacket and threw it on the floor and stepped out of his shoes not caring to put them away he walked straight to his little safe that was located in the kitchen in a locked cupboard and inside was found something that he only had on certain occasions. Occasions like this when he felt and all he wanted to do was forget the pain. He opened the safe reached in and held the bottle of vodka but didn't get it out. Alec closed his eyes 'it could end like last time' he thought 'it can't end that way again' and with a finally decision he pulled out the bottle opened it and took a mouthful
