Chapter 27

It was just after 3 in the morning and Magnus woke up suddenly, he felt like there was something very wrong he wasn't sure what it was exactly but something didn't feel right. He got up walked to the spare room to check in on Caterina he found her sound asleep so he just pushed the thought to the back of his head and decided to ignore the gnawing feeling he felt deep down. He walked to the kitchen grabbed himself a glass of water and drank it in one. He looked out his window to the view of Brooklyn which was beautiful but he never realised that from this window he could actually see Alec's apartment and without realising it Magnus let himself think about the beautiful hazel eyed boy that was his; even if it was just for a short time they were each other's and if Magnus was being honest with himself Alec still had a hold on Magnus' heart no matter how much he tried he just couldn't move on. Magnus loved him way too much to just move on. Maybe that is what the gnawing feeling he felt was just missing the one person he loved the most and has never loved someone so much. He was suddenly brought back to reality by his phone that was ringing so he walked back into his bedroom to answer but before he could get to it the answering had stopped. 'Who the hell is calling me at 3 in the morning?!' He thought as it stopped, he sat on his bed and picked up his phone to see who it was and instantly panicked when the name read 'Alexander💜' a hundred different thoughts went through his mind 'what's happened?!' 'Why would he be calling this early?!' 'He must be the reason for my feeling' and without another second wasted he called Alec back to find the person that answer wasn't his Alexander, it wasn't even a male voice, it was female and someone he recognised instantly "hello Maggie" it was Camille.

"CAMILLE WHERE IS ALEXANDER?!" He shouted down the line. Suddenly Cat came bursting into the bedroom and looked at Magnus who had a furious look on his face and his index finger pointed at her indicating for her to wait so she did. "Oh he's here. Maggie I just want to talk to you he's fine by the way. But he won't be for long so unless you want me to realise him to my vampires I'd get here quick" she told him manipulatively. Then the phone went dead, Magnus took it from the side of his face looked at the screen and shouted as loud as he could "ARGHHHHHH" at it and threw it across the room where it hit the wall and smashed to peices. He stood for a few second still calming himself and then he turned to Cat "get the stuff ready we're going to the Dumourt now!" He told her "right now? Why now? Magnus what happened?" But when he didn't answer her she stood up and walked after him, grabbed his arm to turn him round to face her "I'm not going anywhere and neither are you till you tell me why. Now!" She said with her voice slightly raised. "Fine I'll do it myself!" He said frustrated and he turned and reached the door "don't you dare Magnus Bane! I'm not letting you out of here and I don't want to use my magic on you so don't force me to do it" she shouted at him but he didn't listen and opened the door anyway forcing Cat to do the one thing she promised never to do. Use magic against someone she loves but she had no choice so she pushed her hands forward and blue Magic came pulsing out of them towards Magnus blasting him but not hard only to knock him a little. The magic hit Magnus knocking him down, as soon as he was on the floor Cat flicked her wrist and the door was shut and locked. Magnus looked up at her in surprise asking for an explanation "look Magnus you know I would never do that normally. You forced my hand. I had to do something to stop you, you aren't thinking rationally right now. I know this is something to do with Camille and Alec I only need to put 2 and 2 together and I'll get 4. So let me guess Camille has Alec and because I know her she's going to do something to him unless you get there and I'm guessing very soon" he looked down at the floor calming his breathing then he felt a gentle hand on his arm, he looked up to see that it was Cat, all Magnus did was nod to confirm everything she just said was correct. "Look Cat I need to go and I will do this without you but I would much rather have l my best friend with me. You were the one who said we work better together. She has him I love him Cat I can't leave him. I was stupid to think that breaking up with him would protect him if anything I've put him in even more danger. If anything happens to him because of me I won't forgive myself. She said if I don't go she will feed him to her little vampire slaves, I'm not going to let her hurt him anymore" he said taking a shaky breath at the end of his statement. Cat nodded "let's go then" and with that they both got what they needed and left.
