Chapter 5

<2 DAYS LATER>
So it's been 2 days since Magnus and Alec were on their date and Magnus has been non stop thinking about Alec about how perfect their date was how perfect their kiss was and most importantly how perfect Alec was. Everytime he thought about it he smiled, what made him smile more was the fact he was even closer to be able to call Alec his Alexander something he's wanted to do for such a long time. Now he was on to his way to his best friends house; Caterina and to see her daughter Madzie who just like a niece to Magnus. He needed to tell Someone about Alec and it was always Cat that was there through eveything through every single heartbreak and always helped Magnus pull through. He had to tell her he knew she would kill him if she had to find out off someone else. So there he was outside of the apartment about to knock when he heard a voice. "Come in its open Magnus." He walked in to be greeted by a smile and a hug from Cat. "How did you know it was me?" Asked Magnus curious "don't I always?" She said smirking. "So what is it?" "Why would something be up? I just came to see you and beautiful Madzie. Do I need an excuse?" Magnus said looking around to apartment for Madzie. "Magnus come on you haven't seen us for 2 week you're normally over 3 times a week what's happened" Magnus looked at Cat in the eye. "Ohhhh" Cat said knowing why. "So come on Mags spill who is it how'd you meet" Magnus looked at Cat astonished as to how she knows but deep down he knew how "I don't know what you mean" "how do you know" he quickly added. "I'm your best friend and the only one who knows that you get a spark in your eye when you've met someone you really like. Don't make me ask again! TELL ME MAGNUS BANE!" Cat demanded. Magnus threw his hands up walking to the sofa defeated "okay okay I'll tell. But can I have a drink first" he asked. Cat walked into the kitchen and poured him a glass of whiskey and handed it to him then sat down besides him "spill." "Okay well it started 2 weeks ago..." Magnus proceeded to tell Cat every detail of what happened between Magnus and Alec over the last 2 weeks including what happened on their date. Cat sat there listening to Magnus intently and when Magnus finished telling Cat about everything one thing was lingering in her mind. "Magnus I'm so happy for you l, you deserve to feel like this after what SHE did to you. But Mags-" but Magnus cut her off knowing what she was going to say "I know I need to tell him Simon has already spoke to me about this he said the same" Magnus said looking down. Cat reached out for his hands "hey Mags look at me" he looked up "Simon is right you need to tell him because if she finds out about this it won't end well for him. Look Mags I know that you're worried what he will think of you when he finds out but if he truly cares about you I'm sure he will accept you for who you are and if not you don't deserve him you deserve all the happiness in the world so just go for it and if it doesn't go well you know I will be here." Cat smiled and pulled him in for a hug. Magnus sat and laid his head on her shoulder feeling content so happy to have Cat as his best friend he really couldn't wish for someone better. He pulled away and was about to say something when the noise of someone coming interrupted them. Magnus looked over to see that Madzie had entered the living room. Her face lit up and she instantly smiled when she saw Magnus.
"Uncle Magnus!" she exclaimed excitedly, running into his open arms.
"Hey, sweet pea." Magnus said, hugging Madzie close for a few moments before pulling back.
"I haven't seen you in such a long time." Madzie said a bit dramatically.
"It's only been two weeks," Magnus laughed lightly and madzie giggled, sitting on Magnus's lap now.
"Two weeks is a long time!" she argued. "Why haven't you come to see me?"
"I'm sorry, sweat pea." Magnus apologized, kissing the top of Madzie's head. She looked at him and smiled softly.
"Okay fine," she said in defeat. "I'll forgive you, Magnus." Madzie cuddled up to Magnus, resting her head on his shoulder. "But why haven't you stopped by here lately?" the young girl questioned.
"I've been a bit busy lately, that's all." Magnus's told her.
"With what?" Madzie inquired curiously.
"With work, among other things." Magnus answered, and Catarina lightly chuckled at that.
"Oh come on, Mags. You haven't been busy with work any more than usual, you've just been choosing to spend your free time with Alec." she said.
"Who's Alec?" Madzie asked, raising her eyebrow. "Is he your new friend?" Magnus couldn't help but laugh just lightly at that.
"Yeah, he is." he replied, and madzie smiled at him.
"I'm glad you've made a new friend, Magnus." she said, and Magnus smiled back at her.
