Chapter 24

After being told what Magnus did to Lorenzo and Heidi; Camille was furious. How could a warlock and a vampire both be taken down by one warlock?! She stormed into her living quarters where the injured pair was laid on the long couch that was long enough for the both of them. "How the fuck did one warlock take down a vampire and a warlock on his own?!" She shouted. Lorenzo sat up and spoke up "in our defence" he said pointing to himself and Heidi "Magnus is one of the most powerful warlocks there is. He could take out a vampire like that" he added with snapping his fingers. "I mean I'm a powerful warlock but I'll never be that powerful not on my own. What happened to us is your fault. You know how powerful he is yet you still decided to send us out to hurt the person he loves knowing how he will react" he added. Camille sighed and rubbed her temple with her long thin fingers "please at least tell me you hurt or at least found the boy? Please have some good news for me" she said feeling defeated. Heidi spoke "we found out where he lives but couldn't do anything. The high warlock Caterina Loss was there" Camille nodded "of course she was" she said rolling her eyes. "You're useless the pair of you!" She shouted and turned on her heel but was stopped by a blast of yellow magic, she turned to see Lorenzo and glared at him. "I am far from useless! I've lost everything in helping you!" He shouted at her. She slowly stalked towards him and calmly said "everything? You only had that high warlock title to your name. You didn't have love or anything" "that title is everything! And I've traded it in the name of helping you and in return you will reunite me with the love of my life you promised! You promised you're the only one who knows where she is! You still keeping that promise?!" He shouted rage flowing out of him. A smirk grew on her face. "Oh you'll be reunited don't you worry about that. In death" she said slowly and Lorenzo looked at her confused and then the realisation hit him what she meant "you mean you?!" Camille nodded "and for your disobedience you will join her" and with her vampire speed she ran to him and wrapped her hands around his neck, squeezed and sank her teeth into his neck until he finally stopped struggling and then eventually he was dead. She threw his body on the floor and walked up to Heidi "now I'd be careful how you speak to me or you just might end like him. Believe me Heidi you will be a lot easier to kill. My little fledgling" and with that she turned on her heel and walked gracefully out of the room leaving Heidi a scared and shivering mess.
