Chapter 30

Magnus now just stood in the middle of Alec's room staring at him he took a deep breathe and walked towards him and sat next to him. Magnus took Alec's hands in his own "remember Alexander I love you I always have and always will" Magnus told him quietly "Magnus? You're scaring me" Alec said very timidly "what's happening?" Magnus shook his head "I need to do something to you but I can't tell you how sorry I am Alec. I really am sorry believe me I don't want to do this but it's for the best. Please don't make this any harder than it is" Alec shot up he hated the sound of this. No matter how much he loved someone he would never let someone do something to him without his knowledge that was one thing I vowed to himself. "No!" Alec shouted startling Magnus "I might love you Magnus but I'm not gonna just let you do something to me that I don't have any knowledge. Just tell me" Magnus sighed and nodded "you're right. I'm sorry Alexander" he said as he stood up and walked over to stand in front of Alec and grabbed his hands rubbing his thumbs along the back of Alec's hands in an attempt to soothe him. "I was going to erase your memory of everything that's happened; you won't remember Camille, Cat, our first time, our date or even meeting me. I need to erase it all" Alec snatched his hands out of Magnus' "you want me to forgot about you, about everything we've been through. No Magnus I won't let you and I know you won't do it without my consent and I don't give it!" Alec shouted. Alec closed his eyes to calm himself and walked closer to Magnus. He slid his hands into Magnus' "Magnus look at me" he said softly and Magnus lifted his head which had been bowed down during Alec's whole little speech feeling ashamed of himself, he knew it was wrong but thought it was the best way to protect him. "Magnus I'm not mad that you broke up with me. I was at the time but I didn't understand, I understand now you wanted to protect me. I don't agree with that being the best way but I still understood it. But erasing my memory of you won't protect me Magnus. There's nothing to protect me from; Camille is gone she's dead. Even if there is some danger to me the best protection is you. While I was unconscious I heard your conversation with her, that you were the most powerful warlock. You protected me from her and you can protect me from anything. You saved my life Magnus if it weren't for you I wouldn't be here right now she would've killed me. We can finally be together. I love you and you love me what other reason do we need." Alec said breathlessly. Magnus just nodded and stepped closer to Alec wrapping his arms around Alec's neck "you're right Alexander, I'm sorry. I do love you and I always will" and they both leaned in to kiss and to finally allow their happy ending to happen.
