Chapter 8 - YOU LIKE HER

Jay's P.O.V
I got home after leaving Chloe's and I had the biggest smile on my face, when I gave her the hug if just felt right, I could tell she was shocked but she still hugged back. When I walked into my kitchen everyone was there including Barry,
"What are you doing here?" I asked confused
"Well I came over to hang out after leaving Rebeccas but you weren't here" he smirked
"Yeah I was at Chloe's sorry" I shrugged walking over to the fridge to get a bottle of water
"So did you have fun today?" My mum asked
"Yeah, oh we made this thing called the everything but the kitchen sink sundae, we have to try it, it's unbelievable" I tell them
"So what else did ye do?" Barry asked resting his head on his hand with a big smile on his face and my mum sat forward and my dad put down his newspaper and Luke just sat there waiting, so I told them everything, but I left out the hug,
"You like her" Luke laughed
"What? No I don't" I shook my head
"Dude yes you do" Barry nodded agreeing with Luke
"No, maybe as a friend" I reason
"No hunny you like her more than that" my mum laughs "tell him Mark"
"Son you like this girl" my dad smiled
"As a friend" I said
"Nope more than that, did you hug her?" Barry asked
"Did I hug her? Eh no" I answered nervous
"Oh my god you did!" Luke raised his voice in excitement
"No I didn't and you sound like a girl" I rolled my eyes
"You did hug her and probably a tight hug too" Barry walked towards me and put a hand on my shoulder "you my friend, have it bad"
"Have what bad?" I look at him
"YOU LIKE HER" they all yelled in unison
"What's going on?" A tired Maria asked walking into the kitchen over to my dad
"We're talking about Jay and Chloe" my dad told her
"Jay likes her, he's her prince and she's his princess" she smiled a bit more awake now
"See, even the five year old knows it" Barry patted my back
"I'm six!" Maria said loud making us all laugh
"Sorry" Barry laughed.
Even while all this was happening all I coukd think about was Chloe, maybe I do like her.....
