Chloe's P.O.V
I am in America!!!!
I landed an hour ago and met Mr McCall at the airport and he has driven me to the college where I will be introduced to all my classes and meet the family I will be staying with.
I walked into Juliard behind him and I feel so intimidated but excited at the same time, I walk to the office and get my schedule and then I'm brought around to all my classes. I met all the teachers and students and now I'm waiting to meet the family I will be staying with.
A woman walks into the room with a huge smile on her face,
"Chloe I'm assuming, it's so lovely to meet you! My name is Polly" she shook my hand
"It's lovely to meet you too! Thank you for letting me stay with you" I smiled
"It's no bother we're glad to have you" she hugged me.
She seemed really nice and after 30 minutes of talking to Mr McCall we left to go to what is my new home for the next few years.
My bedroom in this house is lovely and they did it up to suit a teenage girl. The family I'm staying with is lovely, there is Polly who I met at the college and her husband Mike and then they have a 19 year old son named Thomas.
Right now we're all in the sitting room getting to know each other. I've learned that Thomas is also a dancer that attends Juliard so thankfully I have that to talk to him about. Polly is a social worker which is why she takes in kids from abroad when they're studying at Juliard because she loves to help kids and Mike is a business man which you can tell from the way he wears suits and the car he drives and the size of the house. Mike is getting me a job at his offices so that I can earn some money for spending while I'm here.
I told them all about my family and friends back home but left out Jay completely. I told them what studying dance over there was like and how I landed the spot in Juliard.
They are a really nice family and I'm so glad I get to live with them.
I was up in my room unpacking when there was a knock on my door,
"Come in" I called,
The door opened and Thomas popped his head in
"Hey" he smiled
"Hey" I smiled back
"So you nervous?" he asked walking in and sitting on the chair at my desk
"A bit" I laughed
"Don't be, you can hang around with me and my friends until you get to know more people and if you just be yourself and work as hard as we've been told you do then you'll get on fine" he assured
"Thank you" I smiled sitting on my bed facing him
"So I noticed when you were talking earlier that you mentioned all these friends but no mention of a boyfriend" he stated
"Yeah it's a bit of a touchy subject" I looked down
"Oh sorry I don't want to intrude" his eyes grew wide
"It's grand don't worry about it" I smiled to reassure him
"Sorry, it just confused me that a gorgeous girl like you didn't have a boyfriend" he told me
"I wouldn't say I'm gorgeous" I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear "especially compared to the girls over here" I shook my head
"Trust me you are one of the most gorgeous girls I've met" and with that he up and left leaving me to finishing my unpacking.
After another hour I was finished packing and looked around my room satisfied with how it looked. I was called down for dinner and helped set the table and when we ate we just talked about dancing and random things and soon it was time to go to bed.
As I lay in bed I realised that today was what my new life was going to be like and I don't hate it. Hello new life, I'm ready for you.
