Chloe's P.O.V
It was Saturday, the day of the show, and I have practiced my dance all week and even though my dad was going to be in the audience I wasn't really nervous. I was in the wings marking my dance when a pair of arms wrapped around my waist,
"Good luck you're going to do amazing" Jay kisses my neck
"I hope I do as good as you did" I smile turning around to kiss his lips
"You'll do better" he lightly head butted me
"You're on" Megan, the stage woman told me
"Break a leg" Jay smiles
"I'll try not to" I joked as I walked out on stage.
As I got into position I noticed my dad in the crowd and I started to get nervous, I haven't mentioned to anyone but this dance is about my dad leaving and I don't know how it's going to go down. My music started and I began to dance. (Listen to music above)
As I danced I thought of my dad leaving and everything Jay said and I let all the emotions take over me. When I finished the dance I looked into the audience and I seen my dad, he looked shocked and hurt and for a second I felt bad but then I remembered everything he's done and that feeling went away quickly. I walked off stage into Jays arms and he whispered into my ear
"I'm going to show you that a man can stay" before he kissed my head.
It was the end of the show and we just finished our curtain call, I was in the dressing room when my brother ran in followed by my parents,
"You did great Chloe" Daniel hugged me
"Thanks buddy" I hugged him back
"Amazing as always sweetie" my mum smiled
"Thank you mum" I nodded smiling
"That, was amazing, you truly are an amazing dancer" my dad looked at me
"Thank you" I stared blankly back at him
"Okay so I was thinking-" Rebecca walked in pausing when she seen my family
"Oh. I'll just call you later" she smiled at me.
I was at home in bed when there was a knock at my door,
"Come in" I called
"It's me" my dad opened the door
"What do you want?" I sat up
"Your dance, it really was amazing, and the emotion" he paused "I'm so sorry I put you through that pain, I'm supposed to be your father and I've just been a waste of space" he explained
"You can't help who you are" I said with no emotion
"But that's the thing, I should have stayed for you, I want to be the father I should have been 10 years ago" He places his hand on mine
"No" I pulled my hand away "you turned my life upside down when you left and maybe after a while we can start over, but right now I can't, its too hard" I shook my head
"I understand" he looked down before standing and leaving.
I slid down further into my bed and lay there for hours just thinking before falling asleep.
