What's up with Sophie?!!

     Sophie stood there frozen, she couldn't answer. " What's going on? " I asked her, she couldn't stop stuttering. I was getting really worried now, she was acting really weird so I got up from bed. " Fine! " she yelled, " I snuck out to a party " she said. " In your pajamas? " I asked her, her face dropped, all the commotion woke Lauren up. " Like what's going on? " Lauren asked, " Sophie's acting weird, what's wrong with her?! " I asked Lauren, Sophie still hadn't answered my question. I was starting to get really angry, " HEY ANSWER ME! " I yelled at Sophie, she was now physically shaking, I started moving towards her. Then from outside the room, my mom called out " girls, what's going on there? ", my heart skipped a beat, I knew I couldn't let my mom come in the room because I was in beast form. I rushed to close the door, " nothing mom! " I yelled, " okay sweetie " she yelled back. " Please, let's just go back to bed " Sophie said, " NO! " I yelled. I had no idea why Sophie was acting this way, she had never been this way before, something inside me wanted to beat the hell out of her, Lauren convinced me to go back to bed so I did but was still a little frustrated.
     When the day had begun and we went on with our normal stuff, Sophie still acted weird, I noticed she was avoiding me, she didn't want to have anything to do with me, she still talked to Lauren a little but not me. I was not only frustrated now I was a little heartbroken, I felt betrayed for some reason, why wouldn't she talk to me? I figured maybe something was seriously bothering her so I wanted to have a word with her. Sophie sat alone on the couch, I went over to sit with her. The moment I sat down she wanted to leave immediately, I held her down, I tried to read her emotions and it looked like guilt and self disappointment. " What's wrong girl? " I asked her, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said " nothing ", she quickly wiped her tears and wanted to leave again but I held her down a second time. " What's wrong with you? Why won't you talk to me? is it something I said? I need some answers girl " I said but she still wouldn't answer, she tried to leave a third time but I held her down again. " LET GO OF ME! " she yelled as I held on tightly to the sleeve of her shirt, I pulled very hard on her sleeve and she pulled back desperately like she was hiding something on her shoulder. " A tattoo? " I thought, maybe she was hiding a tattoo from us, maybe that's why she wasn't talking because she felt so guilty about getting it, maybe that's what she snuck out for, it was all starting to make sense once and for all but I was very wrong. I laughed and pulled on her sleeve even harder revealing her shoulder, I couldn't believe my eyes. A thick dark scar completely covered Sophie's shoulder, I cursed loudly, " what is that? " I asked in terror. Sophie broke down in tears and ran out the front door, I tried chasing after her but it was no use, Lauren just stood there with her jaw hanging.
     " What's up with Sophie?!! " I asked Lauren, " I like seriously don't even know. I haven't like told you this but she's been acting real weird for a while now, especially like when it comes to you, anytime you're not around and we're like talking she doesn't even like talking about you or even hearing your name. I'm like really scared now, I don't know what's going on " Lauren said. Sophie didn't come home that day until around 11 : 00 pm, I was already in bed and Lauren was asleep, she came in our room and walked up to me, " I'm sorry Mara " she said with a weak smile. I had no idea where that came from, I sat up and looked at her, " ready to talk? " I asked her. Sophie finally agreed to talk " well, I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys but I've been hanging around.. with, with some people, some bad people who do well, like drug stuff. I got into a fight last night and that's how I got that scar, it's been really bothering me, I'm sorry I've been acting this way " she said, I actually remembered Sophie saying she had a boyfriend that was into drugs once and so it actually made sense. I was happy things were back to normal, or I thought so, I gave Sophie a hug, she smiled and hugged me back, she gave me a really long and tight hug, like those hugs they give people when they are leaving or something. We both went to bed, I slept peacefully until about 3 : 00 am when my instincts told me to wake up for some reason, I woke up to Sophie's  standing right beside my bed staring at me with guilt, the second she saw my eyes flicker open she jumped and hid something behind her back, I yawned and asked " what's going on? " but she just said she was feeling guilty about how she treated me and was just staring at me. Did that make sense to me? Nope but I didn't bother myself, I turned the opposite direction and went back to sleep.
     I still trained with Jullian every day,  I was getting so much better, I felt like I could actually defend myself against bigger threats now. We were in the middle of training when all of a sudden Jullian fell to the ground, he held his head in pain and cried out loudly. I ran up to him, " WHAT'S WRONG?! " I asked him, " Mara, I can see it, Constantine, he's planning something, he wants war, we, we have to be ready, something big is coming " Jullian said, his words filled me with fear. Some of the others rushed in and helped Jullian to his feet, I just stood frozen in fear. I left with so many thoughts in my mind, what if we couldn't beat Constantine? what if we couldn't win this? I already knew how strong he was but now I hear he's getting stronger, I wondered if this was all already over, if I should surrender. I thought of saying goodbye to everything because if I couldn't win this, Neptune was definitely taking my soul and I could also get killed by Constantine. Believe it or not I would rather get killed than having my soul trapped forever, sometimes I wonder why I even took the challenge in the first place, I could have just lived the rest of my life a beast, at least I would be alive, none of this chaos would have been happening if I just left things the way they were. I fought back the tears forming in my eyes, I walked around aimlessly until I ran into someone, trust me you wouldn't believe who it was. It was Neptune! " Hey, did you miss me? " she asked with a grin.
