I keep forgetting to name my chapters 😆 Sorry for not updating... I lost my few readers lately so I wasn't encouraged to write...

It was turning dark. My wrist have been rubbed raw. A few people came to kick dirt on me and spit on me. Rou was told to feed me and she was trying to feed me some bread. I let her feed me. The warm gravy tested like the best thing ever.

I let myself go limp and sigh. She leaves me alone after. She tried to talk but I wouldn't mutter anything. I close my eyes and lean into the pole. I close my eyes and let myself sleep.

-Farkas- {Three more days later}

Seven days. Seven. Fucking. Days. A whole week. The mate bond was taking effect. A small pain shot in my chest. I had to look for her. Vilkas has been keeping an eye on me. My wolf wants to find it's mate. It's only a matter of minutes before it takes over. I've held back shifting all together because of it.

I bolted out the door of my room. I made it up the stairs and found Vilkas. I catch my breath quickly before talking. "It's been a week." I tell him. "In aware of this." He says, not meeting my gaze. "Vilk-!" "Farkas, not right now..." He sighs. "I can't last another day! My wolf wants her. I need her back." I tell him. "Farkas listen t-" "No, you listen to me. You may be Alpha, but this is your packmate. I'm your brother. I'm begging you!" I end it with a whine.

His expression looks broken as he stares at me. "Farkas. We have many enemies. She could be anywhere..." He tells me. "The Silver Hand would kill her, I'd feel that... A wild animal, she could kill easily... A trapper, I would have felt her pain..." I trail off in thought. "Bloodfrost wolves... They'd hold her captive..." I meet Vilkas's eyes. "Farkas. I can't take that risk... I'll... I'll send you with Carg and Rashi to scout the area... Do not engage combat with anyone." He says. "Gather your party." He growls. I grin before hugging him. He sighed and hugs back.

I quickly bolt around to find the two.

It's been three days. I can feel my face and arms burning... Rou occasionally fed me. A man walked up to me and cut my bonds. "Alpha needs you." He said, grabbing my burning arm. I wince as he drags me to a den like cave. He throws me to the dirt. Aja walks up to me, a man behind her... I look down and hear more footsteps. I hear a gasp and look up a bit. An all to familiar elf stood, a terrified expression on his face.

"Vle?" I ask, my voice dry and rough. He sends me a sad glance before he gets to take a step towards me. "Halt." The man says. Aja shifts to a woman.

She looked like Rou, just older. She trails a hand down my jawline before yanking my head to face her. "Now, now. We just need to talk. Jargi, go out again and take a patrol party." She says. I'm forced to my feet and dragged into the cave.

Vle falls back and stays beside me. Aja throws me to the ground in front of the man. "This is the one you've been after, correct?" She asks. I hear a chuckle from the man. "Yes... She killed my best warrior." He tells her. I close my eyes tightly.

She kicks my side gently and I look up at her. She kneels beside me, reaching a hand to cup my face. "So much potential resides in her... We just have to make her hate them." She tightens her grip. "You bastard." She cuts me off with a glare. "You will learn to call me Alpha." She seethes. I wanted to retort back but I held my tongue. I stared at the dirt floor of the cave, my mind racing.

They ramble on as I keep tears from pouring out my eyes. Why did I push everyone away? "Vle. Take the prisoner back to the dungeon." I heard Aja say. "Yes ma'am." He walked over and gently grabbed my arm. I stood on my feet as we walked towards the cave. "Vle." I began. "I'm setting you free." He says. "They'll kill you!" I tell him. "I'll make up something... Uhh. Like say you attacked me and ran. They'll believe it. You better run. Run as far as you can." He says. With that I bolt to the forest surrounding the clearing.
