The First Meeting

As I sat in my room at Gallows Rock reading a book, I heard yelling. Urgrad, and Vle. 'Are those two at it again?' I thought. That damned Nord is always at that Elf's throat. I walked outside to see the two brawling again. I wasn't gonna try to stop them. Instead I walked into the woods to find the hollow tree I loved. But... it was for a reason.

"Arlilo! Snowy!" I called when I had got there. As I did so, two snow wolf pups ran up to me. I smiled as the two pups tried to jump on me. As they did I pulled some venison from earlier out of my satchel and fed them. Yeah, I know. A Silver Hand feeding and caring for orphaned wolf pups? I had always loved the creatures. The two looked scratched up and I heard raven calls from a distance. Then thunder.

"One night won't hurt," I said. The two pups hopped out of my armor and onto the floor of my room. I placed down a blow of water and some meat and cheese for them to eat. Onced they finished I put them in my closet and went to bed.

I was woken by a knock on my door. I got up the check it. "Hey Urgrad!" I said. "Y/n," the Nord replied. "The boss needs everyone! Meet in the main hall in 5." He said, holding up a hand.

I nodded and closed the door. I waited until he left then I walked over to the pups. I couldn't leave them, and they couldn't stay if I died... I quickly grabbed a knapsack and put the pups in it. They fit perfectly. I slid my w/o/c (weapon of choice) in where it wouldn't hurt them and I walked to the main hall.

I took a seat between Urgrad and Vle as the leader began to speak. "Tonight... Tonight we bring honor to our name! We will attack Jorrvaskr, and kill Kodlak White-mane! And as a gift, or reward rather, Urgrad will be the one to slay him! After the old man is dead, we retreat! Now, all together. TONIGHT! TONIGHT WE WILL SHOW OUR WORTH AS WARRIORS OF SKYRIM!"

Everyone, including me, yelled "Hurrah!" The words echoed in large room.

We entered Whiterun and got close enough to Jorrvaskr. Urgrad walked close behind me, so I didn't freak out. As we got close I began to shiver. I then felt Urgrad grab my hand to comfort me. Vle had walked ahead and many others surrounded us.

The world seemingly went quiet. No cricket chirps. No frog croaks. No owl calls. I couldn't even hear the wind. Then a strong word shattered the silence. "CHARGE!" Our leader yelled.

We all ran for Jorrvaskr. I felt Urgrad pull me along by my hand and into the doors. The Companions arose from their seats, battle ready, and I could see four Nords. Three boys and a girl. One of which I noticed, was Kodlak.

Urgrad let go of my hand and ran toward him. I followed close and ran into Kodlak. I grabbed his wrists and he didn't even fight. He looked me in the eyes. I saw the pain in his face. I was prepared to let go. Then I saw Urgrad's sword go through his chest. I almost screamed as I was thrown to the ground. I heard a sharp yelp from behind me.

"Shit!" I said quickly. As I got up I felt a harnd reach for me. I ran quickly to the door and made it outside. I cleared the wall and ran to the line of the forest. I quickly pulled off my knapsack. "I hope you two are okay..." I said exasperated and opened the bag. The two slid out from the cloth pouch. Arlilo was fine but Snowy was limping. "No, no, no, no!" I said weakly.

The pup limped to me and I scooped her into my arms. I walked over and sat under a tree. "I'm sorry," I whispered softly to the pup as a tear went down my face. "I'm miserable." I said, my voice barely a whisper. Arlilo curled against my thigh. I sat for a moment before footsteps were heard approaching.

"Who's there?" I look around. "Go ahead and kill me but you won't touch these pups." I spoke clearly. One of the men from before stepped out of the shadows.

"You have ten seconds to get out of my sight before I kill you. Your 'friends' are dead or have left." He growled. "W-who are you?" I ask, terrified. "Give me the wolf. Now." He said stepped closer to me. Arlilo hopped in front of me and began to growl.

Snowy snuggled closer to me. I held her and stood up. "Lilo, down." I spoke clearly. I looked at the injured pup in my arms. "I can't care for her. Nor him." Then the two looked at me. I extended my arms to the man. He took Snowy from my grasp. Arlilo let a whimper out as I did so.

He nudged my leg before I used my foot to push him over to the man inf ront of me. He relaxed as I reached down to pet him atop The head. Snowy whined and I slowly lifted my hand to pet her. "Happy?" I heard.my voice begin to break. The man extended a hand to me. I took a step back before turning on my heel and bolting into the forest.
