I don't know who's shaking the most when we finally get out of the rollercoaster. I'm still not comfortable with my balance when we start walking again. Shawn grabs my arm to steady me, and slowly slides his hand into mine again. I smile for myself through my dizziness. We work us through all the people hand in hand. I'm almost sure we're trying to find the others, before it gets really dark. He confirms my theory, by saying something about it wasn't fair to keep me for himself all night.

I don't mind, I think for myself.

''I don't think they're here anymore'' Shawn says looking over all the people in front of us. How long have we been gone? Didn't I tell my dad I would have been there soon?

Shawn guides us over to a bench and sit us down. Still with my hand in his, he takes out his phone with his other hand to call someone.

''Hey'' Shawn says, to whomever he's talking to on the phone. ''Oh really, we can't see you''. He lets go of my hand and stands up. He waves and nod me with him through the crowd. Without getting pushed to much, we get to the other side where my dad's standing with Josh, Jake and a guy whose name I don't know. My dad doesn't seems as happy as he did when we first got here, but I don't feel like asking him with so many people around. I give him a smile, but he's not looking at me.

''Where's Blake'' I ask and that gives me his attention. He point towards the deadly ride, Shawn and I were just in.

''You let him up in that thing alone?!'' I freak. Now dad's looking me in my eyes. He doesn't get to answer me before a set of little arms are wrapped around my legs. I go down on my knees to give him a real hug. But he's not the only one who's back. When I stand up the stupid actor from the music video is hugging the life out of Shawn. Or not hugging, more like assaulting him. I guess he didn't take care of the problem then. She lets him go, but not before sliding her hand down his arm all the way to his hand. Thankfully Shawn puts is hand in his pocket and take a step towards me, still politely asking how she has been. Maybe it's a good thing Blake asks me to carry him, otherwise I might have gone into a fight with that brother-taking-boy-stealing bitch.

Jake tells us he has free bar, and invites us to get a drink. Meaning soda for me, Blake, Shawn and Meghan. I quickly take the seat next to Shawn, and is rewarded by a smile from him. But somehow Meghan's able to get the seat in front of him.

''What have you guys been up to?'' Dad asks us. Mostly Shawn I think.

''Not much. Ate too many popcorn, tried a few rides...'' I smile confirming. That is basically what we have been doing. Someone behind us mentions an anniversary party which makes Jake ask Shawn about the party he's throwing me and this gets Meghan's attention.

''We still have half an hour before leaving'' Shawn says to Jake.

''How are you getting to your apartment?'' Dad asks. I shake my head. Why does he have to play overprotective right now, I'm sure Shawn's not planning to hitchhike or something.

''I'm driving. Brought my car'' Shawn says. My dad just nods, but I see his brain searching for more excuses for why I shouldn't leave.

''Why am I not invited?'' Meghan asks, kicking Shawn playfully under the table. He takes a deep breath, making up his mind. Is he honest or will the polite canadian he is show? It turns out to be the last.

''Sure you can come. You have my address right?'' he says.

''Yes, it's not the first time I'm there, remember?'' she flirts, and bit her lower lip.

I feel sick.

I push the chair back and head for the bathroom. I try to collect myself, convinced that I won't let myself sink that low. When I come back out, Shawn's waiting for me by the door.

''Come on. We still have one last thing to do'' he doesn't try to take my hand, just holds the door for me and walk besides me. He knows I'm mad or at least disappointed.
