First stop is my dad. I wake him up by holding his Latte in front of his nose. I stay long enough to tell him what time it is. Where I slept, can wait till later. I hurry back to Shawn before the coffee gets cold. He's already sitting up. His hair is curlier than I thought, but it suits him. Really good. ''Good Morning'' he mumbles taking in the fresh coffee air.

''Good morning'' I say handing him his coffee.

I'm standing across him. ''When did you leave yesterday?''

So he doesn't remember. If I say I went back to the hotel, it sounds like I abandoned him. I decide I'm done with the lies.

''I fell asleep shortly after you I think''.

He looks at me ''Here?'' he looks at the sofa.

I nod, changing topic. ''I thought you said there were a few morning meetings today. Or was that tomorrow?''.

''Fuck'' He jumps up and runs to me, taking a look at my watch. 7.59 AM. He moves his hand behind me reaching for something. He gets it and his hand brushes against my waist. We both look each other in the eyes, his head getting closer to mine by every breath. My phone rings, breaking the spell. Shawn pulls away. He nods towards the door, to show he has to go. I take the phone without checking who is the caller.

''Good morning. I must have fallen asleep here yesterday, are you ready to go back to the hotel?''.

We take an Uber back to the hotel. ''I was thinking we could have a day off today. I know it must be boring staying on set all day'' my dad says.

''I think it's fine'' I say a little to quickly. ''And I actually promised Shawn to be there the next few days. He sent Andrew home, so I'm his new manager''. I might as well get it out now. I pray that Blake thinks it not so bad to stay there either.

''What about you Blake?''. He just nods, still half asleep on my shoulder. I feel my stomach rumbling, so we all go next door to the hotel for breakfast. I go to the bathroom. In the small line, I see a certain British coffee bar waitress girl. She's the next in line and I hide my face walking back to my dad and brother. I wanted to ask if we could go somewhere else, but the food is already there. I sit with my hair covering my face, not saying much. I can't help but look around very discreetly, just to see where her table is. She's sitting alone a few tables to my right. She looks so lonely. I'm about to get up and tell her I'm sorry for acting like a total bitch, but the few seconds it takes me to finish my eggs another person sits next to her. A boy. She leans in and give him a kiss. With tongue and all! He takes her hand and they smile at each other. I drop my fork. It gives a loud sound and everyone including the waitress girl looks at me. She looks shocked and embarrassed. She gets up and goes over to me. I would have run outside if it wasn't for my dad holding my wrist and asking what was wrong. She's now next to me. I turn to her with a smile. ''You didn't see anything right?'' It sounds like a threat.

''I think everyone did, so do you mind telling me what you're intentions were with my friend?''. Afraid to call him by name, if she figures out who he is.

''Let's say I forget I saw this and you won't say a thing to my friend about me''. Thinking I've made a good deal I return to my breakfast. I feel my dad wanting to interrupt and realize she's still standing next to me.

''I thought he was your fiance. Maybe I'll invite him to dinner now, just comforting him you know'' she says with a bitchy smile. She's a much better bitch than me. My brother is following us with his eyes like a cat watching ping pong.

I copy her smile. ''And I thought you were single. Things change quickly these days am I right?'' I say maybe a bit to loud.

''You saw nothing and I won't say a thing''. I nod. She walks back to her 'boyfriend' or whatever.

''Who did you get married to?'' my dad asks. I love him so much.

It's 11 AM when I get a snap from Shawn of a giant burger. The comment saying: done with meetings. I hope you made them all in time i write back. He sends a thumbs up. I'm used him never sending emojis, but he once said he never sends thumbs up either. So... does he regret what almost happened. Do I regret it? No, because nothing really happened. Am I overreacting?

My dad comes into my room with a smirky smile. He has a surprise for me. I know it. '

'Dad, my birthday is Friday. It's only Tuesday''. He sits next to me on the bed.

''I know. I was just wondering if you actually did get yourself a fiance?'' he laughs.

''No we've only been here for a little over a week. Give me two more''.

''It looks like I can give you that. We were supposed to begin shooting tomorrow, but we decided to move it till Monday. There's still some problems''.

I can feel there's more. ''What is it Dad?''.

''What about we go to the carnival Friday. I've invited a few from work''. he says.

''I knew you had a surprise!'' He knows how much I love going to carnivals. All the light, the rides, popcorn... I don't know anything better than that.

''Shawn's invited too'' he says on his way out of the room.

Very excited, I send Shawn another snap asking if he needs his new manager today. I want to ask if he'll come to the carnival face to face. It takes him 10 mins to reply that I could take the day off if I felt like it. I'm kinda disappointed because I don't feel like it. I use the afternoon working anyway. From what I've memorized I plan some of the tour.
