today is the day they're going out to adelaide. michael was so nervous that he didn't pay no attention to lauren during the car ride. "you're nervous, michael. your leg is shaking."

"i know, what if i see family?"

"then let's not go to adelaide."

"i wanna show you places down there, shut up lauren." michael whines, putting his forehead on the wheel.

"it's greenlight," lauren speaks, michael smirking as he pulls off. "what's so funny?"

"we have a song called greenlight. there's no lyrics except the for chorus." michael smiles, continuing to drive. they pull up to seven eleven, both of them hopping out of the car.

"sing the chorus to me."

"not in public."

"when we get back in the car then."

nodding, he opens the door for her, the both of them walking in to see linda and livy at the cash registers. "you've got this lauren." michael says, disappearing into the back of the store somewhere.

"so, he's with you now?" livy asks. "i'd rather he be with linda."

"it's none of your business who he dates." lauren mutters, picking up michael's chips. "you're too young and lindsay is like fifty."

"my name is linda, and i just turned thirty."

"gross i had sex with a twenty-nine year old." michael exclaims. "no wonder why it was all flappy and loose."

lauren dropped most of the things her hands to cover her mouth and start laughing. livy was laughing as well, michael rushing to lauren. "are you oka- shit, i thought i offended you or something."

"it's fine," she laughs, seeing as linda was no longer trying to harass her, neither is livy. "fucking hell, michael, it's just two drinks, you're taking all damn day."

"im getting candy."

"are you on your period, gosh." lauren jokes, practically seeing michael glare at her. he comes with two bags of candy and their drinks.

when they leave out, michael side hugs her. "i hope you didn't feel offended that i had sex with her."

"i don't, as long as you won't do it again while we're together." she smiles, as michael hugs her.

"i will never do that, i love you." michael's lips went into a thin line, his eyes widening at what he had said. lauren was quiet, then hugged him tighter.

"i love you too, michael." she kisses him on the lips, before going to the passenger side of the car.

he stands there staring at the seven eleven sign, believing that being in this parking lot gave him the courage to say those dangerous three words. "you have to sing to me now, don't think i forgot."

"fine, anything for you babes."

"i know."

'it's taking me over, i don't wanna play this game no more. all you gotta do is tell me right now,

you want me right now, come on.

give me the green light, we could have all night, if you just say the word, tell me it's alright.

Give me the green light.'

michael's angelic voice sang, lauren staring at him as he drove. he didn't dare look at her because he didn't want to see her reaction.

"tell me right now you want me right now, michael, did luke write this song?" lauren says with all seriousness, making it even funnier to michael.

"yeah, i don't know who it's about, but he did."

"god, he's a pig."
