back in australia, all the guys did was record. they have fans now which made lauren a little more jealous. michael was out, lauren sitting at seven eleven, scrolling through her twitter looking at the pictures of michael with fans. "lauren? is that you?" lauren looks up at a boy she used to mess around with.

"hey, shawn." lauren smiles back, now feeling awkward.

"it's been awhile. i've seen you on instagram. how was your vacation in vegas?" he smiles, sitting down next to her. she locks her phone and shrugs.

"it could be better."

"what'd you mean?"

"i trust my boyfriend, but he's just been distant ever since he's been with one direction. then the girls he's with are unbelievably beautiful." lauren frowns a little, knowing she's getting a little self-conscious.

"you're beautiful too, lauren. you're funny, nice, and outspoken, and that's great in a girl. whoever your boyfriend is, is missing out."

lauren just realized shawn is trying to flirt, so she shook her head. "it's not like tha-"

"you really think i don't appreciate you, lauren?" michael's voice came out soft, and when she looked at him he looked so sad.

"no, mikey, it's not like that. please hear me out." she stands up, to follow him. he arrives to his car, turning to her. "you know i love you."

"i love you too, lauren, but y-"

"i feel fucking insecure, michael. you're surrounded by beautiful girls all day, and im not by your side half of the time. you don't understand-"

"yes i do understand. when i see you talking i males it makes me feel as if im not doing enough to please you. whoever that is obviously was sweet talking you and you enjoyed it!"

"yeah, i guess because you never say shit like that to me! it's always joking or sexual remarks." she yells back, michael feeling guilty and hurt.

"so i don't do enough for you?" he asks. "im not perfect, lauren! im not romantic, i don't buy flowers for you at any time and compliment you everyday. i know, im not the perfect boyfriend, but you can't compare me to someone you probably met at a bar."

"i didn't compare you too, im simply saying that-"

"im not a good boyfriend?"

"hey, guys." calum popped up from out of nowhere, thinking everything was fine and dandy.

"we should just break up then if you think that, lauren." michael decades, getting into the car. he pulls off, lauren shaking her head.

"i lost him, calum. the one person that truly loves me, that cares for me." she grabs his jacket, crying into his chest. he hugs her, confused on what just happened. he knows the love each other so whatever they just broke up for is probably irrelevant and stupid.

"he loves you, laur. he'll realize it was a mistake."

"but i did it. this was my fault."

"i know you have nowhere to go." he switches the conversation seeing as it was getting dark out. "you can stay with me?"

"he's your best friend. i can't."

"and so are you. you're staying with me and that's final. jay can come over and you guys are do your girly thing." he chuckles, grabbing her hand. she sniffles, getting into the passenger side as calum calls his girlfriend.
