Chapter 18

Jeongguk insisted to take Taehyung and Jeonsoo out for a day. There was a lot to discuss but for the little Jeon's same, the two adults pretended like their past and feelings don't exist.
They look like a happy pair of friends when in reality, Jeongguk is very much in love with Taehyung while Taehyung don't even want to think about him.

"Taetae! I will eat stawbewwy today!" Jeonsoo told his teacher who looked at him with a bright boxy smile.

"Anything your little heart desire my love." Jeongguk said chuckling at his adorable son.

"So I should probably get chocolate!" Taehyung replied enthusiastically to match Jeonsoo's eagerness. The little guy always get bored of the same flavour before he even finish half of what ever he ordered so Taehyung usually exchange it with his.

"So Daddy should get Vanilla!" Jeongguk piped in making Taehyung smile. He is thankful that Jeongguk is finally coming back for Jeonsoo.

"Oh My God! ITS JEON JEONGGUK!" They heard people squealing and not later, they were bombarded with flashing lights and mobile phones were shoved up their faces. They weren't prepared for the crowds that came out of nowhere.

Taehyung immediately looked at Jeonsoo who was in his father's arms and saw that the baby was tearing up while covering his eyes with his little chubby hands.

Taehyung's heart hurts for the little boy. He quickly grabbed him out of Jeongguk's arms gently and soothed the boy while holding him in his arms and hiding him from the crowds.
"Baby its okay, Just listen to my heartbeat yeah?"

And then he looked at Jeongguk who was already looking at him.

"Get us out of here Jeongguk" Taehyung said and Jeongguk nodded his head, determined.

Jeongguk put his hands on the back of Taehyung's back protectively and make a barrier between his loves and the crowd and tried to lead them out of the diner.

"I should have seen this coming!" Taehyung heard Jeongguk muttering under his breath.

"I'm so sorry hyung! I should have known people will go crazy once they saw me after months of disappearing!" Jeongguk apologized sincerely once Jeonsoo is asleep.

They were in Taehyung's apartment after they made it out of the diner with the security's help.

"Its okay Jeongguk. Jeonsoo was fortunately alright. So it's fine." Taehyung said and grabbed two cans of beer from the refrigerator.

He passed one to Jeongguk who smoothly caught it.

Taehyung could see how Jeongguk was fidgeting nervously.

"Make yourself comfortable Jeongguk." He said and the younger gave him a hesitant smile before opening the can of beer in his hand.

Silence filled the room and Taehyung don't really like making conversation after the hectic day they just spent.

"Jeonsoo will wake up in an hour or so. I will prepare for dinner. You guys should stay the night. Jeonsoo will not want to leave" Taehyung said and made his way towards the kitchen with his beer.

He heard Jeongguk following him so he told him just to " take a rest "

But Jeongguk planted himself right beside him and silently watch him.

"Hyung.." Jeongguk began.

But Taehyung knew what the younger want to say. And honestly, he don't want to hear anything he had to say.

"Jeongguk" he said with a sigh and turn to look at him.

"You're probably tired. So am I. We'll talk later. Okay? Now I want you to go and cuddle with your son. Alright? I will call you guys for dinner."

Jeongguk looked taken back but he nodded his head and smiled, forced.

"Okay hyung. I'll do that." He said and hesitantly turned around and left the kitchen.

Why is my life so complicated? Taehyung thought to himself.
