"Moxie, get out of bed or you'll be late!" I heard a voice call from downstairs. A groan excaped my mouth, and i proceeded to carry myself of my bed, which felt more like a cloud.

I grabbed some clothes from my wardrobe, then exited my room to the hallway, where I was overcome with the smell of bacon and pancakes. My senses became arroused at the delicious smell of breakfast, reminding me I needed to get in the shower, or I wouldn't be able to devour any of it.

"Maverick, hurry up!" I pounded my fist against the door, to show that I meant business. I leant myself against it, knowing that he wouldn't be out anytime soon. But apparently I was wrong, as I felt myself hit my head against the ground, after he opened it. Lovely. Just lovely.

My hair was blow dried, then straightened, and the little amount of makeup that i actually used, was on. I had already quickly thrown on a pair of jeans, and white tank top to wear underneath my green hollister sweater. I took a quick glance in the mirror, before grabbing my bag and heading downstairs.

Maverick and Madeline, my two younger siblings were bickering over the syrup. Maddie has been health concious lately, as they were studying healthy foods in school. On the other hand, Mav didn't care. Everytime he went to the dentist, it never turned out good. Atleast one new cavity had appeared, due to his huge sweet tooth.

I reached my hand in between them, and pulled out the bottle that contained syrup, bearing a smile on my face.

"Moxie!! Don't use that! It's really really really really really really unhealthy!" Begged Maddie.

"Sorry Hun, I'm hungry." I responded, as I slathered on a coat of the sugary sauce. Maverick held his hand out for a high five, but I just shook my head and laughed.

I piled some of my pancakes into my mouth. "Mox, don't forget, I need help with work today. A lot of people are into fall weddings. Weird, huh? When I was a litle girl, a wedding on the beach was always my biggest wish." My mother rambled on.

My mom is a wedding planner, if you could not guess. She owns her own company, and she helps with a lot of the weddings here in Cheshire. In the past few weeks, I've been helping her out alot around the shop, because its been so busy and we're low on staff. I don't mind though, she pays me. And it's not like its a hard job. All you do is sit behind a big desk, take calls, and book appintments.

"Moxie Grace Braxton, are you listening to me?" She asked me, as she filed through some papers on the counter. I swallow the remaining food in my mouth. "Yeah , sorry, sure." I say as I look at the clock. Shit.

"Mom, can you drive me to school on the way to work?" I say as I bring my empty plate to the sink. Mav and Maddie seemed to disapear. Must have left to catch their bus, which comes five minutes after mine.

"Yeah, yeah sure. Give me five minutes. Go warm up the car." She says as she tosses me the keys, that hit me square in the forhead. Lovely. Just lovely.

*************************************

Ten minutes later, my mother and I are sitting in the heated car, exceding the speed limit, so I make it on time. The teachers here in cheshire are quite tough. They don't find it acceptable when a student is late, as school starts at 8:30. Plenty of time to get ready, in their opinions. Maybe it would be, if they didn't give us all a pile of homework higher than Big Ben every night.

The radio station changed songs, and a familiar tune began to ring out of the speakers. I sigh escapes my lips as I run my fingers through my hair and lean my head against the condinsated window.

You're insecure

Don't know what for

You're turnin' heads when you walk through the door-or-or

Don't need makeup

To cover up

Being the way is enough

Everyone else in the room can see it

Everyone else but you

The tears began to stream down my face, but I wiped them away quickly, so my mom wouldn't notice. She still didn't know what exactly went down between us. Nobody does, except Hailey.

*Flashback*

"Harry!" I rolled my eyes at my friend, who whistled at a girl walking down the street. We were sitting on the cold concrete steps of a vacant building, sipping hot chocolate from a cafe just down the road. We both began to laugh, and I leaned my head on his shoulder. A moment or two later, his chilly finger lifted my chin to meet his eyes, and his soft, pink lips met mine.

It was the first time I felt the sparks. The butterflies that bounced around in my stomach. It didn't last long, but it was an amazing feeling.

I opened my eyes to see a grinning, curly haired boy looking at me, a shy smile plastered on his face.

"I-I've been waiting so long to do that Moxie" He studdered. "W-would you be my" He bit his lip. "Girlfriend?"

My already pink cheeks heated up some more, as I nodded my head, and took a sip of my hot chocolate.

*Reality*

"Moxie? Sweetie, are you alright?" I heard my mom say from the right of me.

"Yeah, uhm, I'll see you later." I mummbled as I stepped out of the car that was tucked aside at the curb, and headed towards the doors.

AUTHORS NOTE:

Hey y'all! LOL NO. Okay. So I felt rather creative today and decided that I wanted to start a new fan fiction. YAYYYY. Sorry if the first chapter is kind of short, I try. Real hard. I'm actually on my school laptop, because I have homework that I already finished so I decided to celebrate, haha. Uhm, I hope you like it! I think this will turn out better than my other fan fiction, The Switch as I'll probably just end up deleting it, we'll see. 20 reads for the next chapter? yayyy!
