I'll Never Be Your Mate

Chapter 31

I woke up to Jake's soft breathing. His arm was slang around my waist with him sleeping on his stomach. His face was right to my right ear. His soft breath brought tingles all round my body.

Mom and the other women voices were coming from the kitchen. I lift up my head and looked over the other side. Sarah and Eva were not at their place nor was Jason on the couch. I laid my head back on my pillow looking at the plain white ceiling. I didn't want to move from here even though I knew everyone was awake and around. Jake held me last night and yesterday just only to comfort me. I knew everyone would go back to normal. Especially with all the alpha and Luna going.

Jake snuggled more to me. He buried his face into my neck crook. At the feel of his wet lip on my skin, a shiver ran down my spine. He tightened his grip around my waist more. I could not help feeling secure and bliss.

"We need to get up, aren't we?" Jake mumbled from my neck.

I hummed yes. He rubbed his cold nose over my crook of my neck. "I don't want to move"

"Yeah sleepy head, it's time to wake up, our parents will be going in some hours and we need to meet them."

He groaned causing vibration over my skin. "But it's too comfortable here. When will I get to have these again?" his lips brushed against my skin at every word he was saying. My brows furrowed taking what he said.

"What? Have what?" I cringed my neck a little away from him and trying to turn my head to him. He tensed and stayed silent for a second before suddenly jumping into a sitting position on his knee. "We need to wake up, we need to see dad and others off."

I sat up scrutinizing his sudden strange behaviour. "That's what I said"

He rubbed his nape chuckling, averting my eyes. "I'm going to freshen up. Get up, you need too" He stood up taking my hand before pulling me up. He then turned and went up. I went up as well in puzzle.

We had breakfast together with everyone before we had seen them off. Though before getting into the car, mom gave me a long talk of how to beware about my surrounding and also not to add on, she was going to give a list of how to charm Jake but I shrugged her off. I forced her into getting into the car. She had pouted before she gave me a hug and finally got  into the car.

The house was so quiet after they went. Then we had done the cleaning all together. We kept all the extra blanket and pillows from the living room making it once again a living room. We had went in our room and adjusted our things back to its place from sharing the rooms with mom and other alpha and Luna. Everyone was by their own in their room. The day had been over quickly in front my eyes without me noticing it. As everything got back as before, Justin returned to sleep back in my room as Eva went to Jake's. My wolf plead to go back to Jake's room but I couldn't do something for only my selfishness. Luckily no ugly memories had flashed back when I had gone to bed. I had just gone to sleep at memory of me being in Jake's arms.

The next day when I went down, there was no one around. I longed to shift and felt my wolf. I filled water in a bottle, drank some before taking an apple along. As I was walking out of the kitchen, I brushed against Sarah. "Morning"

"Good morning" I greeted back. I continued walking and turned slightly "I'm going for a run." She nodded sleepily before doing her things. I went out from the front door and walked a bit into the forest. I got to finish the apple when I saw a big tree. I stopped there to keep the bottle and my clothes and shifted.

I returned back to my clothes after I don't know for how many hours since it was already noon. I shifted back and wore my clothes before going back to beach house. I had finished the whole bottle of water. It was so hot out here.
