I'll Never Be Your Mate

Chapter 35

We walked back to the beach house. Everyone was in the living room except Eva and Austin. I could guess where they are. Everyone continued watching the movie as if nothing has occurred. Once we entered, everyone's eyes looked up. Stella and Sarah were the first one to leave their mate's side on the couch to stand by our sides immediately. Their faces were gleaming with happiness. They took us in a group hug as they laughed in our ears.

"It works!" Sarah shouted in glee. I gave in her contagious smile while my wheels in my head working at the same time, trying to understand what she meant by that.

"Yeah!" Stella replied in response as she gazed in aww at us. Nick and Brandon stood behind their mates, smiling warmly. "Can I ask what has worked?" Jake raised his brows at Sarah. As in coming down from their happiness, the girls' smile drop from their face. They shared a look before looking sheepishly at us.

"Well, you were so adamant of not being mate, we thought that maybe you needed a push" Stella clasped her hands behind while rocking on the ball of her foot.

"And... how did you do that?" I crossed my arms and frowned.

"you know the typical thing, making you alone together and maybe inviting Eva and Austin here to make you jealous" Sarah's words rushed out before she quickly took a step back, in her mate's arms.

"You what!" I snapped. She pressed more into her mate chest. Nike laughed wrapped his arms around her.

"I assume you both are together with them in that" Jake said dryly causing Nike and Brandon smirked in response.

He shook his head.

"C'mon you both were being stupid. You both forced us to take this action" she cajoled. "At the end the plan did work. You can't blame us." she crossed her arms and pout.

I rolled my eyes.

"But how could you do that knowing they were mate?" Jake asked wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"Of course we didn't know that before calling them. Otherwise we wouldn't ask that from them." Stella avowed. "They met here and insist to continue acting despite they were mate."

"It seemed they couldn't resist from the temptation till the end." Nike added lowly. Everyone remained silence before the four of them burst in laugh. Sarah clasped her stomach as she was laughing to tears. "You should have seen how he drag Eva to the room."

In the end we couldn't hold but joined them in their laugh.

Everyone went to their room. I followed Jake on the stairs in silence. Now our relationship had wholly changed. We were now as a marry couple in werewolf world. We would take slowly now... right. I don't know how thing will go from here.

As we neared Jake's room, we could hear Eva's moan and Austin's groan from my room. I felt my cheeks heated as we looked away. They were still going at it. I would be too embarrassed.

Jake opened his door and I quickly went in quietly. With the door clicked behind me, I looked at the room. It had been long since I had come here. I still remembered our fight my first time here. I burnt with embarrassment as I realised how stupid I was there saying I would never enter his room. His room was dark. His dark blue curtains were pushed aside at the balcony door with the moon illuminating outside. There were a long couch like in mine on the left side of his bed. I looked at the bed.

Do we sleep together on our first night? Or we take thing slowly and keep some distance? I do want to be close to him, to feel him after finally belonging to him. Will he creep out? He hadn't been used to relationship. I think it's better to take the couch.
