Chapter 12

Next morning, I did not feel his presence nor did I get a sniff of his scent, then I checked the whole house to make sure he was not here. When I didn't find him, I went to his room. Everyone was downstairs to have their own time.

God knows where Jake is? He always disappears and wherever you ask for him, he is not there. But for now I need him to not be here.

As instantly I opened the wardrobe door, his musky sandalwood scent filled me, making my wolf stir in me and make butterfly trumping in me. I quickly surpassed his scent and removed all his clothes. I needed to do everything rapidly as he can come anytime. But with this pile of clothes which smell so damn good and addicting, made it difficult for me to get down the stairs. Once I got behind the house, putting the clothes down, I lighted the lighter and burnt the clothes. This gonna be amazing.

I grabbed my phone and called Jake. After three beam he answered. "Hello"

"Hey, this is Ashley. May I know where you are?" I asked

Him always with his cold attitude. "What! Do I also need to tell you where I go now?"

"No. I don't care where you go even if you go to die" I said casually. "It's just that I have something to show you so I need to know where you are".

"Oh, I'm in the city, meeting a pack member about getting a new car. Some shithead has his mind gone out to break my car"

"She has to have a reason to do that. Anyway I have a big surprise here for you that will shake you"

"Wht-" I cut him "it'll be my pleasure to enjoy seeing your face when you come here. I'll wait for you" with that I cut the call, smiling at the phone. I'm sure he already get on the car to drive. He has been using the guys' car since yesterday.

"What are you burning?" I heard Stella's voice queried from behind. I turned slowly and smile innocently at her. Behind her was Sarah, Nike and Brandon like a queue.

"Uhm... err... I burn all the clothes of Jake's?" I said it as a question.

"What!" all of them shout at the same time. "What? You are looking like it's my fault" I said as the girls gave me an accusation look while the boys were still shock with their mouth hung down. I ask myself if Jake will also has the same kind of reaction."You can shut your mouth otherwise fly will come in your mouth"

I went to look to the girls "He was the one who start! He broke my bed last night and made me fall!"

"God knows what to do with you both. I'm sure today he will definitely kill you" Stella dramatically hit her hand to her head.

"You are saying like I'm scared of him" I said carelessly.

"Oh you should be. After what you have done, I don't think you gonna get to escape today" Nike said hugging Sarah from the back.

Suddenly hearing Jake's growl made my blood cold and got me an adrenaline boost.

I turned to see him stare at the fire seeing his luxury clothes burn and looked in my eyes. Poor him. His eyes darkened and his jaws clenched with his fist tightly closed by his side. His glare could burn me with its intensity.

I give him a smug smile. "The surprise please you?"

"Today I'll not spare you. Its final today I need to deal this with you"

Immediately my smile wiped out of my face. I could say he was joking but no he was dead serious. With his cold gaze still bury on me, he took a step forward, making me take one back.

"It's you who start that! We were deadly finish with that matter in kitchen the other day but you continued!"

"I couldn't just left behind after what you have done to me" he said with a step forward.

I took one back "Don't take it serious, I was just playing with you" I left out a titter.

"But I wasn't having fun." One step forward.

"Why don't we make peace and forget about all of this" I suggested with a step back.

"Or not!" he took three steps ahead which didn't leave any choice but to run. I felt him behind me. I ran faster with my werewolf speed but he ran fastest since he's an alpha. I got inside and ran in the corridor. "Don't make me chase you Ashley" he warned. I turned my head to see him behind me "Nobody told you to do so!" I said back.

I rushed to the living room and went behind the long couch and he was at the other side of the room behind a couch found opposite of me. God know what will he do to me if he catch me! I'm scared even to think about it. I moved right to left trying to find a way to move throughout him as he was moving left and right trying waiting for my next move.

"You know you can't do me any harm because my responsibility is on you and if something happen to me, you'll have to deal with our parents" I mimicked him throwing back his words at his face.

"Don't bring our parents in this to save you and they won't even know about this so now let me deal with you" he said smugly. I'll not get afraid by this.

At the same time I quickly flee through the back door that found behind Jake make me bump directly to the handrail which stairs leads to the pool area. I turned to look behind seeing Jake coming straight at me. I jumped from the handrail instead of taking the tiny stairs and land on my feet. I continued to run along the side of the pool. I checked behind but to see nothing, Jake was not there. I turned round to look for him. The gang came having a confused look on them. "Watch out" Brandon called out. Just as I turn on my heels, Jake was there coming of nowhere smirking at me. Before I can react, he pushed me to pool but I'm not going back down without him. I grabbed his sleeves and pulled him with me before crashing into the water. After the water enveloped me and I came on the surface at the same time with Jake.

I pushed all my hair from my face to get a better look of him. His hair was felling on his forehead dripping from water with a shock expression on his face. We stare at each other and next we are laughing.

He's shaking his head both from disbelief and water. "You never give up, don't you? "I remember at the fact how he got me and how we ended here. "Nor do you"

"But I'd never think that you would go that far"

I move towards him "Don't forget you forced me!" I said back poking his chest with my finger. "So we are equal, its finish?"

"Yeah but you owned me clothes" he said huskily and his gaze changed to darker. Then I realised we stood so close that just one of us need to move forward so our lips touch. I can felt my cheek warmth, my eyes fell on his full firm lip. Suddenly I felt my lip dry and I licked it. I'm having an urge to kiss him. I flicked my eyes to his eyes to see it gaze on my lips. I myself lean in. What the hell is happening to me! I need to get away from here.

I immediately looked away breaking the spell. "Yeah yeah I'll give you" I moved away and turn to climb up the pool step still I noticed my clothes. My pink blouse was clutched to me making my bra appeared and my body form. I glanced at Jake and see him stared at my body. I crossed my arms around my chest "I think you need to get out first" I said and looked back to see Brandon and Nike leaving.

I turned back to see him distract "eh? Uhm... " he drawled looking away from me moving heavily in the water passing his hands in his hair making it go back. "Yeah you're right" Then he went inside the house. I get out after and see Stella and Sarah eyeing me.

"What!" I exclaimed. I hate when people look at me like that. "What was just that?" Stella asked raising one eyebrow. I felt the warmth of blush craw to my neck. "I don't know what you both are talking about" they looked at me suspiciously. "I- I need to change my clothes" I blurted walking rapidly inside without listening what they said.
