THIRD PERSON POV

isak jolted up so that he was now sitting up in bed. his heart was going a thousand miles per second and he was breathing heavily from the nightmare he had just woken up from. he reached his hand over to make sure his boyfriend was still on the other side of the bed and let out a sigh of relief when he felt his partner's figure. isak's eyes welled up with tears and he wanted nothing more than to hear even's voice in this moment.
"even? are you... awake?" isak's said shakily as he tried to be as quiet as possible.
a few seconds passed of silence, and now he was getting even more emotional. he couldn't go back to sleep- not after what he just dreamt.
he couldn't stop thinking about that stupid nightmare, so to get his mind off of it- he reached for his phone and decided to scroll through instagram. the second he turned his phone on, the brightness was at full causing him to squint.
"baby, what are you doing?"
isak began hearing shuffling on the other side of his bed after even's raspy voice broke the silence. he turned his head over to see his boyfriend. even was shuffling and adjusted himself so that he was cuddled up to isak's side.
he felt insanely relieved to hear his voice- even if he was sleep talking. he ran his fingers through even's hair and lightly pressed his lips to his forehead.
"nothing... go back to sleep ev." isak said meekly while gently caressing his partner's cheek with his thumb.
"okay." even replied softly, burying his head in the crook of isak's neck. "i love you."
"i love you too, baby."
