ISAK POV
________"Okay, we're here! You can open your eyes now." Even said happily to me, I just so happened to be turning 20 today.
I finally opened my eyes, colors surrounding me and sounds of kids playing, parents chatting and game noises. It wasn't long before I realized he had brought me to an amusement park and became a bit excited, the last time I had gone to one was before my parents divorced and they took me when he was a little boy.
I turned to Even who had a smug expression on his face, grinning and leaning forward to connect our lips for a short, sweet kiss. "I love you."
"I love you too." He replied, nudging his nose gently against my own as an Eskimo kiss. "Oh, and one more thing."
He pulled away, this priceless, adorably happy smile plastered on his face. I gave him a strange look as to why he was looking at me like that, but realized why when a bunch of loud yells came from right behind my ear and someone practically jumped on my back.
I yelped like a little girl and turned around to see my best friends, Jonas, Magnus and Mahdi. My eyes widened and I playfully pushed them with a small chuckle. Before I could even say anything, they all pulled me into a tight group hug.
"Happy birthday!" The three cheered, lifting me up off the ground and nearly dropping me. I hugged them back, letting out a few laughs.
"Thanks, guys."
The boys gave Even a hug as well and thanked him for inviting them. "Even," Magnus started, getting all of our attention even thought he wasn't speaking to us. "did you get hotter or did Isak just get uglier?"
I scoffed and rolled my eyes, "At least I can land someone as hot as him."
Mahdi and Jonas covered their mouths, making an "Ohhh" sound in unison. Magnus and I chuckled, knowing it was all fun and games.
"Alright, what would the birthday baby like to do first?" Jonas asked, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Birthday baby? Do not call me that."
"I like it." Even joined in.
I sighed, "Fine, you can call me that."
My boyfriend chuckled and walked towards me, pulling me into his embrace and lightly pressing his lips against my forehead. The corners of my lips tugged upwards slightly before we went on with our day.
About 15 minutes in, there was a darts game where if you popped balloons and whatever the hardest one was, had the best prizes. That was my goal. I squinted my eyes in focus as I held the dart with my thumb and index finger, my tongue between my teeth as I concentrated. After a moment, I finally threw it forward.
Everyone cheered as I popped the hardest-to-get balloon. My friends grabbed me by my shoulders, shaking me aggressively and saying things like 'How'd you do that?!', and 'Great job, buddy!'
My eyes landed on a giant teddy bear holding a heart. As cliche and cheesy as it might've been, I knew Even would love it- and honestly, I didn't care what anyone thought about me anymore.
"What would you like as your prize?" The man working the game asked me nonchalantly, seeming unimpressed or in a bad mood period.
Luckily, I barely noticed it because of my own joy and pointed at the bear. He took it down and handed it to me, almost too big for me to even carry. I turned around to see my friends giving me a strange look, but Even had a beaming smile on his face and raised his eyebrows at me.
"Do you like it?" I asked him meekly, "It's for you."
Even's mouth gaped as he took the bear in his arms. "Aw, I love it. Thanks, baby."
We shared a couple more meaningful kisses before my friends started to get annoyed. "Geez, do you guys ever stop being all cliche to each other? I mean- I thought it was just an act at first." Mahdi said with a laugh.
Everyone began laughing at that point and a little bit of red flushed my cheeks. This day had been so great already, and I knew it was only going to get better.
"Let's get some cotton candy." I suggested and the boys agreed. We began walking to a candy stand and ordered a few. I took a piece of my blue cotton candy, shoving it in my mouth and humming in satisfaction. I tore off another small section, raising my hand to feed it to my boyfriend. He opened his mouth as he bit it, making me smile at his cuteness.
The rest of the night was great. We had gone on a couple rides (and only a couple because Magnus got freaked out too easily), Ferris wheels, and ate some nachos. Now, I had just arrived home and was back in the comfort of the flat that I shared with Even.
I snuck my jacket off my body, hanging it on a coat rack we had by the door and sat down to take my shoes off. I kicked them off, leaving them lying on the floor before walking over to where Even was.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, giving him more kisses as if we hadn't kissed enough already. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful man that I could call mine. His hands were placed firmly on my back as my fingers played with the ends of his hair.
"Thank you for today. This was by far the best birthday I've ever had, I'm sad that it's over." I said quietly, softly smiling and gave him one more quick peck.
Even smirked, a mischievous smile on his face. "Oh, you thought it was over? Trust me, we're not done yet."
