THIRD PERSON POV
________________

isak set his textbooks down on the table in the schools library- which was luckily empty at the moment. not even a worker was there- which was surprising, but he definitely wasn't complaining. he preferred to be alone anyways, especially when studying.

letting out a small sigh, he opened his book and sucked in a sharp breath through his teeth. "alright... what first?" he mumbled under his breath, asking himself as if it was another person.

deciding on history, he skipped to the section that he was already working on to continue his paused work. history was something isak desperately needed to work on. most of the time, he procrastinated and procrastinated until it was too late to get the work done right, so he'd just look up summaries or cheat off of others to at least get the grade. he swore every time he did that that'd it be the last time and that he'd actually study the next time, but that day had yet to come.

isak already felt annoyed with this lesson just a few sentences in. he hated reading- well, more like he hated reading about history. as he read, it wasn't even like he was actually paying attention and letting the words imprint themselves in his mind- he just scanned over it, not really taking any information in.

that was another terrible habit of his, and geez, he had a lot. he let out a long, impatient breath as this was already starting to frustrate him. he was having to most incredibly hard time concentrating, like his brain was just completely empty or there was too much going on in it at once to focus on anything else.

whatever it was, it was already starting to get on isak's nerves, and it didn't help that he had a very low tolerance.

after what felt like an hour (which was only five minutes), isak groaned loudly in annoyance, only making the frustrated sound due to the fact that he was alone in the library, or so he thought.

"everything alright?" a deep, almost hypnotic voice said from behind one of the tall bookcases.

isak practically had a heart attack- he flinched in his seat at the sudden noise, his eyes widening as a tall figure stepped out from the maze of books. his eyebrows were knitted together in confusion as he stared at whoever this guy was.

the boy raised his eyebrows at him, shaking his head slightly when receiving no response as if saying 'well?' without having to open his mouth.

isak softened his expression, snapping out of his trance and glancing back down at his books. "y-yeah," he stuttered shyly, "sorry. i didn't realize anyone was in here."

"don't worry about it." that enthralling voice spoke again, isak trying his hardest to resist the urge to meet his eyes once more. "what're you working on?" he asked, walking forward to the table isak was sat at and pulled out a chair from under the table directly across from him. he slumped down in the chair confidently with his arms crossed, a genuinely intrigued expression plastered on his face.

isak clicked his tongue, leaning back in his chair as he tried to relax after him embarrassing himself. "just um, boring history..."

"history?" he replied, a smug smile tugging at his lips. "that's my best subject."

isak raised an eyebrow at the boy in front of him, shooting him an 'are you serious?' look. "really? lucky, i'm terrible at it."

he let out a small laugh- one that needless to say, it caught isak's attention immediately. he wanted to hear it again, it gave him a weird sensation that he was drawn to. it was hard to tell whether he liked or disliked the feeling, maybe even both.

"i'll help you, if you want." the boy said nonchalantly, shrugging. "i've got nothing else to do."

before isak could even begin to think about making a decision, the tall blonde was already dragging his chair over to the other side of the table so that he could sit next to him, causing a little bit of anxiety to rush through his body. he didn't work too well with people, his tolerance was too low and he had to do things his own way, but he didn't have the guts to say no to this big, attractive and confident man beside him.

"oh- alright." isak muttered, making his lips into a thin line in awkwardness and suddenly becoming tense.

"i'm even, by the way." the boy beside him said, who was apparently called even.

isak glanced at him for a quick second, meeting his bright blue eyes and nodded. "isak."

-

about 45 minutes had passed before isak had already finished his work, feeling pretty accomplished even thought he knew he wouldn't have even had motivation to get it done if it wasn't for even.

"thanks again, even. you really saved my butt." isak laughed, feeling a bit more comfortable now that he had eased into it.

even chuckled, "anytime." he replied, smiling softly at the smaller boy and standing up, shoving his hands in his front jean pockets.

a bit of tension grew in that moment considering neither of them wanted to split yet, but didn't have the guts to say so. the time they had spent together was very enjoyable- even thought they had only known each other for less than an hour.

"well, i'll uh... see you around, hopefully." even said, the word hopefully making that same weird sensation go through isak's body once more.

isak smiled back, it was faint- but definitely noticeable. "yeah, see you."

"bye, isak." even finally finished before turning around and heading out. isak loved the way his name rolled off of the taller boys tongue, how alluring and just flat out hot it sounded with that compelling voice of his.

once he was out the door, isak's mouth gaped as he tried to go over every moment he didn't want to forget.

he knew that this would not be the last time they'd see each other.
