Phoebe made a slow step toward the goddess in chains. Her advance was halted by the 16-year-old boy's arm crossing her body.

The ginger-haired girl wrinkled her nose in distaste, almost angry at the boy for stopping her.

The boy looked pointedly at the girl, moving his head toward the monsters who were clearly guarding the moon goddess.

Phoebe's mouth twitched in a frown then rose her bow up in the air. A silent message as if to say, 'I can just shoot them.'

The boy shook his head, his deep purple eyes swirling with what seemed like power. He turned to the other two girls who were behind them, their faces in a thinking posture.

Thalia squinted her eyes, trying to focus on the goddess. Trying to get her attention. No luck.

Zoë eyed the boy who was searching the grounds for threats. They were getting nowhere with the boy's plan of stealth.

Her obsidian eyes sparked with a flare of impatience, her hands twitched with anxiety.

Slowly she let out a quiet growl, this going noticed by the boy. Zoë grabbed the boy by the shirt and pulled him close.

She leaned in next to his ear, "We are getting nowhere with this plan, we must act now," she snarled.

The boy shook his head, "We must not alert our enemies with hasty actions," he reasoned. Zoë found his reason decidedly, unreasonable.

She pushed him to the side, locking eyes with Phoebe. Their silver garments gleamed in the moon's gaze.

She held up her hand giving the younger hunter a couple of signs. Phoebe nodded, clutching her bow in hand, slowly pivoting to the right.

Zoë held up her fingers, counting down from three. The boy looked on in carelessness. If the girls wanted to get themselves killed so badly he would not stop them.

Quickly the girls stood up, gracefully knocking an arrow and putting two in each monster's back and chest.

One after another the dozen monsters that guarded the goddess, fell to the ground where they dispersed into a gold mist.

Thalia followed behind the girls who walked quickly over to the weak goddess. Thalia bent down and rummaged in her backpack for some nectar and ambrosia.

Zoë tilted her mistress' head up so the goddess could see her. "My Lady," Zoë whispered. Artemis' vision cleared focusing on the figure in front of her.

"Z-Zoë?" Her soft voice came out cracked. Zoë smiles fondly at her, nodding. "Yes, my lady, Phoebe, some campers, and I have come to rescue you."

Artemis slowly digested the words that flowed from her lieutenant's mouth. Artemis stilled, trying to process what she was seeing and what she heard.

Artemis' head fell down to face the ground. Zoë was perplexed, her mistress had absolutely no energy to keep the conversation.

"No." Zoë heard a whisper, so quiet, she could not process where the sound came from. Again she heard it, this time louder.

The hunter turned her head back to Artemis, bending down so she could hear what Artemis was saying.

Zoë turned her head to Thalia and Phoebe who were holding the ambrosia and nectar respectively.

Zoë grabbed the ambrosia from Phoebe, moving her hand under Artemis chin to help her chew the food of the Gods.

"Chew it, my lady, it is ambrosia," Phoebe said supportively. Artemis shook her head, taking a bite of the ambrosia.
