When the homeroom bell rang, we all reported to our 1st period classes. Ava and Jordan went to Algebra while Stina and I went to band class with our crazy friend Paul. He was blonde haired, cut short. He usually just wore random t shirts and jeans. He played the Alto Saxophone while I played the Flute and Stina played the Clarinet. Ava played the piano, but in the jazz band. We were concert. Band class was the highlight of my day. Our band teacher also helped start my day with a smile.
After 1st period, Stina, Jordan, and I went to our language arts class. Ava had the same teacher as us but just a different period. With our luck, our personal stalker was in our language arts class. Such a disappointment. It seemed to be a normal language arts class. But today we were all given a copy of S.E. Hinton's "The Outsiders". I had to admit, I was excited to read it. I heard good things about it. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the papers we had to complete that day as a pre-reading exercise. I finished pretty quickly, though, and language arts had ended not long after I completed it.
After language arts, the day seemed to go fast. I got through art, algebra, and science. It was finally time for lunch. Our lunch was the latest, around 1:00, which I never fully understood why we had to eat so late. I went to my locker and got my lunch, walking with my girls and our personal stalker. We had to combine lunches with the 6th graders, in which no one enjoyed. There was no room to sit, anywhere. I used to sit with my 'boyfriend' in the past year, but now I realized that he completely ignored me and no one wanted me at that table. So I joined my best friends in the middle of the populars. We got dirty looks because we were taking up space. But we didn't mind. We should have a right to sit where we want when we want. They don't control us.
We were eating our lunch and gossiping about things that were going on at the time. I had a thought that we should all read "The Outsiders" together after school.
"Yeah, we should totally do that" they all said.
"Great. Meet me at my house at 5?" I asked.
"Sure"
Stina was eating her salad like a hog. Sometimes it made me wonder how she felt about being a vegetarian. I don't get how someone just couldn't eat meat. I would die. Jordan was eating her special muffins and Ava was eating her goldfish. Everything was normal that day. At least it seemed normal.
The last couple periods after lunch also went fast. History and Gym, then our 20 minute activity period in which Ava, Stina, and I, (and the personal stalker -_-) spent in the band room. Jordan would probably join band, but she didn't have the time to do it because of her cross country and her swimming.
After school I rode the bus with Ava home. It was a 40 minute ride for me, which I didn't enjoy. But I did like talking with Ava about fangirling. Stina was Harry Potter and Ava was her manga. Me and Jordan didn't find our fandom yet, but I know Jordan did fangirl over swimming guys. Me, not so much.
When I got home I started on my homework and ate. Not soon after, Ava, Jordan, and Stina were coming down.
