Stina's POVFucking shit..
I've always thought I would be arrested, now look at me. I hate this.
"It was self defense, you cock." I growled at the police officers.
"You have the right to remain silent." One snapped back.
Ugh. What am I gonna do? I'm in the back of a police car 1000 miles from my hometown.. Hell, 50 years in the past! I'm not supposed to exist.
"Get out."
I was shoved out of the car and was forced to walk into a large gray building.
(Bear with me, because I'm young and I don't know what it's like to be arrested.. Im kinda a goody two shoes..)
People there looked like they wanted to kill me, and police officers were scattered around the place.
After I angrily changed into the orange clothes, they took pictures of me. Most of them came out with me sticking up middle fingers. Fuck the world.
"Do you have any ID?" Someone asked.
"Does it look like I'm 18 or older?" I gave a 'are you stupid' hand gesture.
She got pretty annoyed, and yelled at other officers to take me to my cell.
The jail was nothing less than I expected. People had a look on their face that told me they wanted to murder me. Well that's fine! Maybe I want to murder you too!
Thankfully, I was taken away from all these criminals. The next room was so much different. There were mostly girls, and they were definitely young. Early twenties, late and early teens. There was some boys, though, who looked more scared then rough. This time, instead of getting killer looks, I got looks of despair and sorrow.
I got a cell by myself in this room, next to a girl who looked around the same age as me. Maybe 15 or 16. She had long brunette hair and hazel eyes.
"What are ya in for?" I asked politely.
I expected a stern reply, like this girl was a mass murderer who just wanted to go out and kill some more. But instead, I got a very warm reply.
"I was living with my mom and my little sister. My dad left us, and I had to work jobs to support us. I came home late to this guy abusing them. I did all I could to defend my family. He hurt what was left of us. So I did what anyone would to stop him. Took his life. The cops wouldn't believe me when I told them. So now I'm waiting for my hearing."
Her story made me cringe. The world is a terrible place, full of terrible people.
"I'm so sorry. Is your family okay?" I frowned.
"He ruined them. But I think they will get through it." She lowered her head. "How about you?"
I took a deep breath.
"Well. Me and my friends were captured by socials. I was scared to death of what they could have done to us. But our boyfriends and other friends came to our rescue. When we tried to escape.." I paused for dramatic effect. "... They tried to shoot him. They tried to shoot Ponyboy. But she didn't let em. One of my best friends took the bullet for him. And as anyone would ever do, I killed him myself to get my vengeance, and to keep anyone else from getting hurt. The cops found me and took me away. I tried to tell them it was self defense. But now I'm here."
"I hope your friend is okay." She replied. "I'm Anna."
"I'm Stina." I smiled vaguely.
"Stina?"
