Excitement sprung through me. I was as anxious and anyone would be to figure out why I was here at all. I stepped through the doorway. The small house was filled with people. 10 people to be exact. There was one boy I haven't seen before. He was tall, and he looked tough.

There was 3 girls sitting around him, Sodapop, and Johnny. But from what I saw, they weren't just 3 regular girls. They were my best friends that I was with before I passed out and ended up here.

"Guys!" I squealed, and they ran up and hugged me.

Another vision appeared over me, and I was in my room again. My friends were around me, their pictures were clearer. They were laughing and saying things to each other, but I still couldn't hear them. I desperately wanted to see more, I wanted to know what happened, but this was as far as I could see.

"I never thought i would see you again!"

We all sat back down and talked about everything. I introduced the boys to the girls, and the girls to the boys. Everyone chatted with each other and got to know things a little better. The stories of how everyone met were frightening.

"Now can somebody tell me where I am and why?" Stina asked.

"We don't know" I looked down. "I hardly remember what happened. Do any of you?"

"Not at all" they replied.

"Ugh."

"You girls sure are something." Darry added. "What are we going to do with you all?"

"Not sure, Darry," I said. "I can't burden you with all these girls, I definitely know you don't have the space, and money, I know that's an issue too."

"Sadly that's true," Darry replied. "I would help y'all get yourselves together if I could."

"Don't sweat Darrel, we ain't kids" Dally added, looking at Ponyboy and back again. "Well most of us. We could take care of these attractive broads, get some of the weight off your chest."

Everyone looked at Dally, trying to see what he was saying.

"I'll take Jordan here," he said, rubbing her head. "Shouldn't be a problem."

"What about the rest of em?" Two-Bit mentioned.

"Well, I think whoever found the broad takes care of the broad." Dally responded.

Johnny looked down and Ava shook her head.

"I don't mind the idea," Ava added. "But think about Johnny, he doesn't wanna go back to his house right now, and why would they let me live there?"

"Yeah, what about Sodapop and Ponyboy? Soda found Stina and you already have Maddy, they are a handful." Jordan said.

"They don't look like too much trouble," Darry winked.

"I could take care of Johnnycake and the girl" Two-Bit offered. "Shouldn't be a problem. I don't want him around those rats anyway."

"No Two-Bit, I really don't want to bother you." Ava replied.

"Its no problem." Two-Bit added. "As long as these girls get back home."

"That's really nice of you guys. I'll make sure when I get rich that I'll help you out. Well, as long as I can come back" I promised

I really wanted to go back home right now. But I know that it might be impossible, and that thought worried me. I wondered what people were feeling back home. Our families, our other friends. They are probably worried sick that we didn't show up. I didn't want them to feel that way. I wanted to be in my bed reading instead of being stuck in 1966 where people try to kill each other. Well. I guess it's not very different in 2014 either.

"No need to worry about that," Darry laughed. "Who wants some chocolate cake?"

Steve practically trampled over us to get to it. Two-Bit shook his head and got a beer.

"I like it here," I laughed. "If I had to be stuck somewhere in the past, away from my home, it would have to be here, with you guys."

"I'm flattered, honey," Two-Bit said. "But you really don't want to live here, at all."

"Yeah" Sodapop added. "All there is, is fighting and rumbles and jumping."

"That reminds me," Dally said. "Do you remember what's coming up?"

Ponyboy sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's the rumble," Johnny answered for him, with fear in his voice.

"What's a rumble?" I questioned.

"That, my girl, is a big fight between the Greasers and the Socs." Dally explained. "About 20 on each side, it's a fair fight, just skin"

"You girls are tough, you could probably take a Soc, each of you." Steve bragged.

"You brag so much Steve, remember that these girls aren't even in high school yet." Darry mentioned

"Still. These broads are tough." Steve said.

I really didn't want Steve bragging about me so much. Sure my friends are tough, but I really couldn't hurt anyone. Even if I was strong, I wouldn't lay a finger on anyone. And if I get hurt, I'm such a crybaby. I was never taught to be tough. I practically sit in my room all day reading books, listening to music, playing the flute, and watching movies. Ava works a lot and has a tough personality, Jordan has a strong kick from swimming, and Stina knows karate. Me? The only thing I can do is hide pain. Emotional that is, if I ever get punched i would probably cry. I'm tough on the inside, not the outside. I fight with words, not my body.

"I don't want to fight," I blurted. "I don't like fighting"

"That's okay," Ponyboy rubbed my shoulder. "We won't make you."

"It's gettin' late," Darry mentioned. "You guys might wanna head home"

"Alrighty" Two-Bit said. "Comon Johnnycake, you too Ava."

Dally and Jordan left behind them, and I waved goodbye.

After they all left, I started writing a book and Stina was reading it. The Curtis brothers were staring at us.

"What?" I asked, "you guys don't read books?"

"Yeah, like who doesn't?" Stina added.

"Only Ponyboy reads books, no one else in the gang does, they pay more attention to fighting." Soda explained.

"Look Ponyboy," he glanced at me. "Your broad is just like you, reads books, doesn't do fights. Maybe you belong in the 2010s more than the 1960s" he joked.

"Comon Darry, I barely know this girl, she's just my friend" Ponyboy mumbled.

"Oh comon Ponyboy" Soda sat down next to Stina and put his arm around her. "Who doesn't want these pretty broads?" Stina blushed and a laughed at her, getting a death stare in return.

"Your folks probably miss you guys a lot." Ponyboy mentioned.

"Probably," I sighed.
