It's been a couple days after I met up with my friends. All 11 of us are getting to know each other really well. We've done a lot in such little time. I'm really starting to like this place.
Today, our greaser friends took us out shopping.
"Just incase you guys can't go back to your old time, or if you still have a while to go before you figure it out, were gonna get you greaser clothes." Ponyboy said excitedly.
The boys took us around, looking at jackets, plaid shirts, white t-shirts, everything greaser related. It felt like I was taking steps back into different times, and ended up in the 60s.
Jordan got a leather jacket and white shirt, black skirt, and black boots
Ava got a sleeveless denim jacket with a gray t-shirt, denim skirt, and knee high black boots.
Stina got a red/black/white plaid shirt, tied at the bottom, with a jean skirt and cowboy boots.
I found a pair of black heel boots and a gray skirt that I cut. I was looking around for a shirt to wear and Ponyboy walked up to me.
"Here," he said, handing me a black sleeveless top. "I brought it incase any of you guys wanted it. Its a boy shirt, but I think it would look fine on a girl."
"I love it, Ponyboy" I smiled. He smiled right back at me. Boy, his smile drove me absolutely crazy.
We went into the dressing rooms and came out as completely new people. I loved this new look, and I bet the boys did too, guessing from the look on their faces. We got hair styles next, red plaid bandanas and curls.
The boys brought up mirrors for us to a see our new selves.
Ponyboy came up to me and showed me my inner greaser.
I smiled at how beautiful I looked. But something didn't feel right. I frowned. I loved being a greaser, these boys were starting to become my brothers. But I missed home. Something told me that I couldn't go back. Even if I did figure out what happened to me and my friends, I would probably never be able to see my old self again.
"What's wrong?" Ponyboy asked concerned.
"Oh, it's nothing." I said quietly, and he took the mirror away.
"Wait, Ponyboy." I stopped him.
"Show me again"
He pointed it to me again. I looked at myself deeply. I thought hard. Then, in the mirror, I could see something. My friends were sitting around me, talking again. I still couldn't hear what they were saying, but they all were holding something. It looked like a leather jacket and a white t-shirt, and it was on a cover of something. And that wasn't all. I gained control over my thoughts, and I was able to look around and move my hands. But everything was all blurry and dark, I could barely see.
When I got out of the trance, I looked around to find everyone staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Are you okay?" My friends asked.
"I think so. Why?"
"You like went lifeless for a second, you were all black and white, and you didn't have pupils." The boys answered for them.
I pretended that they were crazy, and how I felt fine, but I knew well enough that something was up.
"Maybe you should," Ponyboy looked around my eyes, "see a doctor or something."
"I feel fine." I promised.
Everyone gave me a look that said "okay something is up but whatever you say"
We went around town and caused some trouble. Nothing major, just Dally and Two-Bit not paying for things. Other than that we had fun. I enjoyed it a lot. Everyone went home around 5 and I found myself on the couch again, writing. It was a pretty interesting day, and I found yet another piece of the puzzle, or picture. I refused to tell the guys though, because they would take me to a doctor and then they'll perform tests on me. But I was pretty excited about the whole thing. I wonder what was happening in my friends minds.
