Maddy's POVI took a deep breath.
"Alright. Everyone ready?"
They nodded faintly, and The wizards pointed their wands at the door.
"Alohomora!"
The door swung open, and confused workers stood frozen.
One of them pulled the alarm out of pure fear."Aw fuck." I muttered.
Next thing you know, an armed security guard started running their way.
"I got this one guys!" Tak yelled from on top of the staircase.
How he got there, I didn't really know.He jumped down and landed on his 2 feet unharmed. Then he started brutally choking the security guard.
I guess book characters really are powerful.
When we started running the other direction, I noticed that Susan was missing.
"Guys! Did anyone see Susan?" I asked in between breaths.
Everyone shook their head.
"Me and Annie both know Aikido, we can go find her!" Misa and Annie sprinted down another hallway, kicking guards along the way.
Now it was the 15 of us, and we took advantage of the time we had.
Darry looked around quickly. "Alright, me and the gang are going to fend off these guards. The rest of you try and find the exit. We'll meet you there, alright?"
"Are you sure about this, Darry?" I asked, concerned.
"As sure as I've ever been." He replied.
"Be careful." Hermione mentioned before casting a protection spell on the 7 boys. "Muggles have guns."
"Got it."
They armed themselves with their blades while the rest of us ran down another staircase.
As we traveled through the facility, I realized what they were trying to do to us.
There were laboratories full of blood samples, DNA, and machines I've never seen in my life.
Some people were stuck in rooms like I was, but I didn't know what they did to be there.
Traveling from worlds and bringing characters out of books was serious. Revolutionary. It could change the world forever if it had to. They wanted to perform tests on us to see what we really were and what special powers we had inside of us. Especially Ava, Stina, Ellie, Josh, and I, just so they could see the effect that going into books had on people.
If we got stronger, we could overtake the government and even the world. And why would those 'Muggles' want that?
Honestly, I'm tired of my privacy being invaded. I'm tired of living a life where I have to hold back and live under certain conditions. I want to do things my way with the people I want to be with. Why is it so hard to be with the book characters I love? Perfect boys only exist in books. So why can't I have them?
If only people would understand how important books and their characters really are to us.
We were almost to the exit when the sound of footsteps bounced around in my ears. I knew security guards were close. And they were loading their guns.
I gulped.
"WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!" Ellie screamed on cue.
"Go. I'll stay here and make sure you are safe." Harry demanded.
