Dallon's POV
One month later

Tour is starting up again this week and I'm really excited.  I haven't seen Brendon in about a week so I'm excited to see him again.  The morning when Pete rushes into Bren's house they talked in Bren's room alone.  They were in there for what felt like hours and when they came out Pete quickly left without a goodbye and Brendon seemed off.  He keep saying he was fine but I could tell he was extremely worried about something.  He's been cold and distant since then.  He hasn't been drinking or doing drugs as far as I know so I don't know what happened.

About a week and a half after that Brendon started hinting at wanting the house to himself again.  I didn't want to seem clingy or annoying so I took the hint and went back to living at my own house.  I tried to check up on Bren as much as possible but whenever I did he seemed busy and always quickly hurried me away.  This past week I haven't even bother driving a half hour just to see him for five minutes at most.  I'm actually getting worried about him.  What if he started doing drugs again.  At least tomorrow he has to see me since it's the start of tour.

I've been pretty bored in my house alone so today I decided to call Ryan over.  I've been slightly neglected Ryan over the past month since I've been so worried about Brendon and I feel bad about it.  Ryan is my best friend and I would never want to make him feel like he's second.

As I wait for Ryan to come over I try to make myself some lunch.  I look through my fridge and find nothing that looks appetizing.  There are some pickles, expired milk, a loaf of bread that's way past it's expiration date, and left over McDonald's fries.

"Looks like I need to go shopping.  Maybe Ryan and I can go out and get lunch." I mumble to myself as I close the fridge door.  My stomach rumbles in frustration.  I skipped out on breakfast this morning as well.  I lay down on my couch and just stare up at my ceiling.  I leave myself with my thoughts and nothing else.  My brain got so loud that I didn't realize Ryan walk into my house.

"Earth to Dallon."  Ryan waves his hand in front of my face.  "Are you alive in there?"  He chuckles as I sit up.

"Sorry was lost in my thoughts."  I come back to reality.

"I could tell.  Dal your house is a fucking mess.  Did a tornado come through here?  Should I alert the media?"  He brings my attention to the mess that is in my living room.  There is dirty clothes on the floor and plates of half finished food.  My coffee table is covered in mugs, half of them are still completely full.  There is about 12 pizza boxes spread out around the room each with various amounts of pizza left in them.

"When did you have a party and why wasn't I invited?" Ryan laughs.

"I never had a party."  I say shocked by the mess that I somehow only noticed now.

"Ok seriously Dal, what's going on?"  He asks sitting down next to me.  "You are always so on top of things, you never let your house get messy, and you never let yourself eat that much fast food." He points to a pile of garbage from various fast food chains.  "What happened?"

I stare blankly into his eyes.  "I uh, I don't know." I say as I look down shamefully.  "I'm sorry."

"Hey don't be sorry.  Everyone has tough times and as your best friend my job is to help you pick yourself back up.  So today we will clean your house so when you come back from tour you can come home to a clean house.  Okay?" He gives me a genuine smile.  I'm so lucky to have a friend like him.
