Chapter 13 - A Fresh Start

It's been two months since Honoka was hospitalized. Having been in a near comatose state she reflects upon the things that happened before. She never thought that she would end up like this after being so reckless.

She notices a lot of get well soon cards with prayers written on them. She manages to read a few. Tears start to go down on her cheeks. She couldn't believe that even if Love Live is over she is still loved by the fans.

During the time that she was sleeping nobody knew when she'll wake up. She almost came to a point that she was on the verge of dying. Yet one person stayed by her side. And that was her girlfriend Tsubasa.

Suddenly Honoka hears a voice calling Tsubasa's name.

Eli: Tsubasa-san are you there?

It was Eli. As she continues to call Tsubasa, she opens the door slowly. As soon as she enters, she sees a familiar figure. Tears start to flow from her eyes. She couldn't believe that the person standing was the same person who was unconscious for two months.

Eli: H-H-Honoka-chan......

Honoka: Eli-chan......

Eli: You're awake...... I can't believe this. We were worried about you. I thought you will never wake up again.

Honoka: It's good to see you again Eli-chan.

As soon as they are near each other Eli gives Honoka a big hug. Both start to cry after not seeing each other. She then tells Honoka everything. From the time that she collapsed up to the time when she was in a near comatose state. Honoka then tells Eli about her dream. Tsubasa suddenly wakes up from the noise that Eli and Honoka are making.

Eli: You're finally awake sleepy head.

Tsubasa: Yeah I kinda overslept. Eli-san nice to see you again.

Eli: Likewise Tsubasa-san.

Honoka: By the way how are the others Eli-chan?

Eli: They're at school right now. I just came by to check up on you.

Honoka: I see...... I guess I missed a lot. Huh......

Eli: Yeah you did.

Honoka: Tsu-chan told me that we placed second to them.

Eli: Yeah it's true. I wanted to pull us out of Love Live. But the others didn't want me to do it. They told me to wait for you to wake up. As our leader, would you tell me to pull us out of Love Live.

Honoka: No...... We'll start all over again. Love Live may have been over. But we'll move forward. We'll start all over again.

Eli: Well come to think of it. Thanks to you our school is no longer closing down.

Honoka: Really?!!

Eli: Yes. It's true.

Honoka: I'm so glad

Eli: Well I have to go tell the others that you are finally awake. I just came here to check on you and Tsubasa-san.

Honoka: Ok...... Please tell them that I miss them so much.

Eli: Ok...... Will do. Anyways thanks for staying beside her Tsubasa-san.

Tsubasa: You're welcome Eli-san.

As Eli leaves the room, Honoka feels relieved after hearing the good news. She walks back to the bed and rests. Tsubasa suddenly blushed after seeing something that should never be seen.

Honoka: You naughty little girlfriend you. Hihi

Tsubasa: Don't tease me like that Honoka-chan.

Honoka: Don't worry. Come here...... I want to give you a reward for taking care of me.

Tsubasa: A reward? Hmmm...... 🤔🤔🤔 What would you give me as a reward?

Honoka suddenly kisses her. Tsubasa kisses back and this time it was longer than their first date. Honoka can feel Tsubasa's tongue licking hers. She returns the favor. Then a knock on the door interrupted their kissing. Making them stop in an instant.

Honoka: Come in......

Yukiho: Big sister!!!!

Honoka: Yukiho!!! Mom, dad!!!!

Honoka's mom: I'm so happy to see that you are awake now Honoka.

(Author's note: Honoka's parents and sister and Tsubasa took turns in watching over her from the time she was brought to the hospital. Honoka's family would stay with her during the morning since Tsubasa is still studying. While Tsubasa stays with Honoka during the afternoon to next morning due to the fact that they still have to run the family business. Yukiho in the meantime is currently studying at a Middle school a few blocks away from their shop. I never know where is the place. So I decided not to put it so I can make things fast paced.)

Yukiho: Big sister, when will you go home huh?

Honoka's mom: Yeah Honoka, how long will you be confined here? You know we can't pay for the hospitalization right.

Honoka: I know that mom. But I heard the doctor said that they will run a few more tests on me to see if I am really ok.

Tsubasa: Don't worry about a damn cent Mrs. Kousaka. It seems her thousands of fans have given their fair share. Even the school's chairwoman also chipped in. The whole of UTX High School and us at A-RISE also contributed. Based from what I heard from Anju and Erena even the organizers of Love Live also gave a large amount.

Maki's mom: It seems your daughter is a valuable asset to Love Live Mrs. Kousaka. Anyways Honoka, I have good news for you. The doctor who I assigned to look after you says all tests on you will no longer continue.

Honoka: Huh??? But why?

Maki's mom: She said that there are no irregularities found in your body. You're perfectly fine. However......

Honoka: However???

Maki's mom: She told me to tell you that you must have a balance meal and must exercise regularly. And you must drink a lot of water and eat a lot of citrus fruits.

Honoka: I see...... Then if that what it takes to make me stronger than I will do it.

Maki's mom: Just don't overwork yourself though.

Honoka: Don't worry about that. Lesson learned ma'am.

After that Honoka was discharged from the hospital two days later. She did everything that doctor said. When the other members of "Muse" finally saw their leader and center coming to practice again, they rejoiced.

It was a fresh start for all them. Even though there wasn't any news on another possible edition of Love Live, Muse continued with their physical training regiment. Not a single one of them complained. Especially Honoka, for her she was given a new lease on life.

Her relationship with Tsubasa is running smoothly. Weeks later it was the semestral break. They all took a time off from training and went on a camping trip. Soon as the break was over, it's back to school again.

Eli then turned over her student council presidency to Honoka. While Nozomi turned over the vice presidency to Umi. Honoka appointed Kotori to be the secretary.

As they reflect on the times that their group had to go through, they're focus on the current situation. And think about the future that lies ahead of them.
