I remember the days when I always carry one notebook that I don't use for my regular school schedule. In that notebook I wrote as much as I can about the people I meet everyday. Especially the ones who I got close to.

Several years later I started writing my first Naruto fanfiction. However I suffered a writer's slump. My story was getting out of nowhere. Everything went haywire. Revisions left and right. Then I just decided to quit writing.

To gain inspiration once again I turned to watching anime again. Every episode of the show that I'm watching made me toy with the idea of imagining that I was part of that show. I imagined myself talking to the main character or the support characters.

And then it hit me. I decided to look for anime fanfiction that are not posted on YouTube. And instead focused on the ones that are simply just written. Ones that don't need downloading one picture after another.

Now I have written my first fanfiction. I have regained my creative writing skills. Suddenly I felt myself thinking of changing the actual story of the anime and incorporating what is on my mind.

I must admit that I am 46 years old. I could have said to myself why don't I just give it up. And that I'm too old for this kind stuff. But I didn't, I know there is still that burning passion in me to write my own fanfiction.

I can't stop again. I have just begun and I have no plans of stopping. I will continue to write my own set of stories. Now that I have regained the inspiration that I need. There's no end to writing a fanfiction.

And if I lose my touch again. There's always the option of watching anime again. Writing is an endless cycle. There's no need to say to ourselves that we wanna die. All we have to do is look for other sources of inspiration.

Nevermind if we have trouble getting back to writing. Fanfiction writing is all about making our imagination work. As for me, I want to serve as an inspiration to people who are as old as me. And to make them believe that they are never too old to write what is on their minds.
