Chapter 15 - It's Happening Again!!!

In my description of my story I revised what actually happened in the manga and anime versions of Love Live. Here is the revision I made.

"Muse" went on to perform in the finals of Love Live despite losing Honoka who was in the hospital. However, the absence of their leader took its toll on them.

They miss a routine step that they practiced. This clearly cost them a point from the judges. A-RISE eventually won the first Love Live competition. With "Muse" finishing second.

Present day:

Otonokizaka High School. While Honoka is currently working at the Student Council office, Hanayo, Nico, Maki, and Rin are currently practicing for a possible Love Live competition. During their break, Hanayo's phone suddenly received a message. She quickly opens it and started to scream. Nico asks her what happened. She immediately leads them down to the idol research club room. She turns on the computer and connects to the internet.

As soon as the official website of Love Live opens, it flashed a message announcing that the organizers are staging another Love Live competition. Hanayo, Maki, Nico, and Rin started to run around campus looking for Honoka.

After checking out the places where she had been they finally spot her sitting under a tree. As they are trying to catch their breath, Nico immediately tells Honoka that Love Live is happening again.

Honoka then quickly goes to the Student Council office and makes an announcement using the public address system.

Honoka: "May I have your attention please. This is Student Council President Honoka Kousaka. Will the other members of "Muse" please come to the School Idol Project Research Club room immediately. I repeat!!! Will the other members of"Muse" please come to the School Idol Project Research Club room immediately. That's all. Thank you."

Soon enough the others arrive at the club room.

Eli: Alright Honoka-chan what's this all about?

Honoka: I'm sure that Hanayo told you about Love Live happening again. Right...

Nozomi: Yeah I remember that they were looking for you.

Honoka: Well in that case as your leader I'd say we join again.

Everybody cheers in excitement for what Honoka said.

Honoka: We already achieve our first goal and that's saving our school from closing down. This time it will be a different goal to achieve.

Kotori: Huh??? What do you mean Honoka-chan?

Honoka: What I mean is that this time let us win the Love Live competition.

Hanayo then looks at the tournament format.

Hanayo: It says here that this edition will have a regional elimination. And the songs that shall be sung should be new and not yet heard.

Umi: I see...... (Nods) Well it looks like they decided to become strict with the number of applicants joining. Some are doing covers of other Idol groups.

Maki: Yeah I agree. Here take a look at this. This one just simply copied the dance steps of the others.

Eli: Then for each new song that we make we must have a new dance step for it.

And so they agreed on the agenda and started getting to work. Kotori as usual will be doing their costumes with Nico's help. Honoka quickly resumes her duties as Student Council President. After that it was practice time.

However their three key members encountered a problem. Umi started to have difficulties thinking of a song to write. Maki was having a problem composing the music. And Kotori wasn't able to come up with a costume design.

Eli then suggests that they go camping. They stayed at the Nishikino vacation house. To make it easier for Umi, Maki, and Kotori, they grouped themselves into three to help the others get over their slump.

Finally the three got over their slump and got back to work. Honoka decides to wake up early only to find Nozomi was already awake. She finds her staring at the ocean. They briefly chat until the others who just woke up arrive.

They marvel in awe as the sun rises from the ocean. Afterwards they started to pack their things and rode on a train back to Tokyo. As they bid their farewells at the train station, radiant smiles flashes on their faces. Their friendship has deepen amidst all the trials and obstacles that came their way.

As for Honoka this is a shot at redemption for her. Missing out on the Love Live finals last time was her motivation. She had a more determined look on her face. A far cry from the old Honoka Kousaka who was having some doubts in her life.

But one thing will definitely be in the way of redeeming herself. Her love for Tsubasa Kira. The leader and center of "Muse's" rival A-RISE. And she knows it's going to be a such a drag.

Honoka: "No no no...... It won't let it get in the way of my performance with Muse."

Still how will she be able to perform if her girlfriend watches them. Especially her once she takes center stage.

Meanwhile Tsubasa takes notice of the Love Live announcement. Honoka's concern was hers too. It would seem awkward if they both watch each other perform. Anju suddenly steps in.

Anju: Worried about your girlfriend?

Tsubasa: Yes I am.

Anju: Well.... What about it?

Tsubasa: I'm thinking of how will she be able to perform if I'm watching. And I know she is thinking the same thing. I know we are highly favored to win again. But I don't want her to feel depressed if they lose to us.

Anju: You're worried that they might pin the blame on both of you. And they'll make her choose between them and you.

Tsubasa: Yeah.... Maybe I should talk to her about this.

Anju: Good idea. It would be best if you two talk about it. Me and Erena will back you up.

Tsubasa: Thanks Anju. I really appreciate it.

Anju: You're welcome Tsubasa.

She leaves immediately and heads for Otonokizaka.

It's almost for class to be over and Tsubasa is just outside standing. She waited for the others to leave. Soon Honoka comes out of the school grounds.

She immediately approaches Honoka and asks her if they can talk in private. Honoka says yes as she waves goodbye to Kotori and Umi.

Honoka: So what do you want to talk about Tsu-chan?

Tsubasa: You know Love Live is happening again right.

Honoka: Of course I do. You are worried about our performance as rivals. Right?

Tsubasa: Do you feel the same way?

Honoka: Yes I do. But I must not let it affect me.

Tsubasa: I feel the same way too.

Honoka: Guess we'll just have to lessen our meeting for a while.

Tsubasa: Yeah I think that we should do that.

Honoka: Look Tsu-chan, no matter what happens. I'm still your girlfriend. Ok

Tsubasa: And I can say the same thing to you. Wanna go to my house?

Honoka: Sure why not.
