Chapter 19 - Three Letters

Kotori's Point of View:

I stood there silently. Thinking what was going on. From a happy group of people we suddenly became like a bunch of street thugs always looking for a fight. I can only think of one possible scenario. That one thing that not one of us would like to happen. And that is pull out of Love Live. Unless things change it might happen. Everything that Honoka-chan had worked so hard for will be gone. I pray that this is only a test to our teamwork.

Meanwhile inside Chairwoman Minami's office.

(opens the letter)

Chairwoman Minami: Oh no...... This is not good. Not at a time like this.

The letter stated:

Dear Madam Chairwoman,

I Honoka Kousaka current president of the Student Council and leader of Muse, do hereby formally request for transfer recommendations from my teachers as well as your endorsement. There are a lot of unfortunate events that have happen to me in the last few months. I don't think I am still worthy of being in Otonokizaka High School. I'm sorry to ask you on a short notice. I love our school, but I feel that things haven't been going smoothly for me lately. So I hope you will take into kind consideration of my request.

Chairwoman Minami: *Honoka-san, what has been happening to you and your friends lately?*

Eli's Point of View:

"I'm supposed to be the most mature person of the group. Yet I didn't do anything to stop Honoka and Nico from getting on each other's nerve. I can see clearly that Nico's suspicion of Tsubasa's true intentions with Honoka are poisoning her mind. And yet I still decided to turn blind. Now everything that we have worked for is beginning to crumble."

(opens the letter addressed to her)

Dear Eli-chan,

Hi it's me. If you're reading this now it means that I am not attending practice anymore. After what happened between me and Nico-chan, I don't see any reason to go back to practice. As far as I am concerned, you guys did a great job in the last Love Live competition. I think you can pull it off again without me. I'm resigning from my position as Muse's leader. I am passing that position to Rin Hoshizora. I feel that she is more competent than me. All she needs to do is get over her insecurities. Please tell her that and I have complete trust in her. Tell her to call the shots the way she sees it and not how I see it. But if she doesn't want it then you have to take over Eli-chan. I truly trust you.

Umi's Point of View:

"I froze at the sight of Honoka-chan punching Nico-chan. And personally witness Kotori-chan shivering in fear. It was the first time for all of us to see the violent side of her. Now that she hasn't attended school in the last two days. Practice for our Love Live performance has been put on hold. Then there's our work as officers of the Student Council. A lot of paperwork has to be done. Without her it's been me and Kotori-chan that's doing all the work."

(opens the letter while trying to hide her tears)

Dear Umi-chan,

Hi... It's been what? Two or three days since I haven't gone back to school. If you're reading this now I might be on my third day of absence. Sorry for leaving all the paperwork to you and Kotori-chan. But I know you can do it. You're far more efficient than me. I'm just klutz of a girl. Anyways, I want to tell you that I am resigning as student council president. I have no second thoughts about choosing you as my replacement. You're the one who deserves to be in my position and not me. And Kotori-chan deserves to be Vice President. After what happened to us several months ago, and to the more recent one. I feel that I no longer need to be in Otonokizaka. Everything I've done has been against school regulations. So to make sure that things like that don't happen again. I have decided to transfer to UTX. I just don't know when. By the way, I have just resigned as Muse's leader. So you guys won't be seeing me around anymore. Take care of the student council ok. And don't overwork yourself ok.

Otonokizaka High School, 10:30 am an announcement on P.A. system is suddenly heard.

Chairwoman Minami: "Will all the members of Muse please proceed to the Chairwoman's office now. I repeat! All the members of Muse please proceed to the Chairwoman's office now. That's all"

Nozomi: Elicchi, what's going on?

Rin: Did we do something bad? Nya...

Nico: I bet it has something to do with that UTX bitch.

Eli: Nico shut it!!! I don't know what is going on. But I don't like to hear what she is going to tell us.

Maki: I don't know what's going on, but I like to get this over with. Not that I don't care you know.

Hanayo: What does she want from us?

Kotori: Umi-chan do you think it has to do with the letters you and Eli-chan received?

Umi: I don't know Kotori-chan. But I sure do know that it might have something to do with Honoka.

As they all stand outside the chairwoman's office. Eli starts to knock on the door.

Knock knock knock......

Chairwoman Minami: Come in......

Eli: You summoned us Madam Chairwoman?

Chairwoman Minami: Yes I did. And I am afraid to tell you that I have terrible news regarding Honoka Kousaka.

Eli: What is it ma'am?

Chairwoman Minami: Honoka Kousaka has requested transfer recommendations from her teachers. She also requested for my endorsement. I want to know the reason why she is doing this. That's why I summoned you all.

Nico: I think it has to do with that...... Mmmmph......

Before Nico could even finish Eli puts her hand on Nico's mouth.

Eli: It's my fault mam. I've been too strict at practice towards her. I pushed her to the brink of insanity. She told me she couldn't take it anymore.

Nozomi: "Elicchi...."

Nico: "She's lying..."

Chairwoman Minami: Is that the real reason?

Umi then steps in. And backs up Eli's alibi.

Umi: Yes ma'am it's true. I was too strict on her with regards to her weight.

Kotori: "Umi-chan......"

Nico: "Why are they lying? That's not the real reason. Girls please tell the truth. Please......"

Chairwoman Minami: Then I guess I have no choice but to endorse her transfer to another school.

Kotori: Mom!!! I mean madam chairwoman please don't do it just yet. I'll try to convince her to stay.

Umi: "Kotori-chan...."

Chairwoman Minami: Alright I will give you three days to make her come to school again. If she doesn't appear here in that time span then I will endorse her transfer. You girls got it?!

All of them: Yes ma'am!!!

Chairwoman Minami: Good...... Now get out of here.

All of them: Yes ma'am

They all leave.

Chairwoman Minami: (Whispering to herself.) "Eli-san, and Umi-san I can't believe you would lie to me just to cover up what exactly happened between all of you. And Kotori, I never expected you to do something to convince Honoka-san to stay. How will you do it?"
