" Wake up, Cassie", a husky voice says.
" Five more minutes", I say tossing in my bed.
" Well if you don't wake up, you will miss the wedding", says the voice.
I open my eyes and see a pair of eyes looking at me. My vision zooms out and I see Axel whose lips are pulling into a victory smile.
The first thing that comes out of my mouth is," How did you get inside?"
" I told you last night that I have my ways of entering your room".
" What time is it?", I ask yawning and with much difficulty, get up from my bed.
" It's seven in the morning", he replies.
" I better get ready then", I say, rubbing my eyes, then head towards the washroom. After washing my face and a quick shower, I wear a black T-shirt and brown city shorts, and come out of my room into the kitchen.
As I assemble things for preparing my breakfast, Axel suddenly asks," What are you doing?"
"Making breakfast".
Without a word, he takes my head and guides me to my coffee table. The table is packed with pancakes, maple syrup, coffee and fruits.
" You made all this for me?", I ask bewildered.
" No, I made it for myself", he replies. I look at him and see his rare sarcastic smile on his face.
" I am.... honoured", I say and I sit down on my chair. He sits on another chair and starts pouring syrup on his pancakes. After this he takes pepper from the table and starts sprinkling on the pancakes. Who puts pepper on the pancakes? He takes a knife and spoon, cuts the cake and eats it. As he is eating, he notices me looking at him and with his mouth stuffed with pancakes he asks," What?"
" Nothing", I say and look away, totally embarrassed. I begin eating my pancakes." What are we doing after breakfast?", I ask.
" Well, I asked the other members to make sure that Mariana and Storm don't come out of their respective homes until evening. Freya is going to pick up Mariana's mom from the station in the afternoon. So we have to decorate everything within that time".
" Well I am done. Let me wash the dishes".
" Let me help. It will be quicker that way". We head to the kitchen, where I wash and Axel dries the dishes. Then, I quickly wear my shoes and rush towards the door. I turn to lock my door with my key in hand, but he beats me to it with a key in his hand.
" Having a spare key of my apartment is your way of getting in?", I ask mockingly. He gives me a smug grin and we head out towards the guild.
When we reach the guild, I spot Freya, Justin, Lucia and Nack waiting for us.
" Good morning guys", I say.
They greet me back. Before we can start discussing, we hear a voice behind us.
" Hope we are not late".
I look around and see a man and woman walking up to us. The man has raven coloured hair, well-built body and blue eyes. Whereas the women, she is a strawberry blonde and has black eyes.
" Thanks for coming, Adrian", Axel says, fist bumping him.
He winks at him. Axel shakes hands with the girl, who turns out to be Sophie. As much as I remember both Adrian and Sophie are X-class mage and were on a X-class quest for past one month. They came back two days ago.
