"Which one should I buy?" I ask Axel, showing him a black cocktail dress and a blue sundress. Axel gives the dresses a glance and says, "Blue looks nice". I look at the blue dress and place it back in the hanger stand. I take the black dress for the billing. Axel looks at me skeptically and asks, "If you had already decided it before, why did you ask me?"

"Hmm. Your choice was... you know... okay", I say, honestly. His eyebrows twitch with irritation. He quickly pays the bill and we walk out. Axel says, "Head back to Uncle's place. I will meet you there".

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"We need some fake identity. I know a man in the South district who can help us. I will just pay him a visit", says Axel. He quickly sticks out his arm on the road and a horse carriage stops by us. He opens the door for me and instructs the driver, "Drop her in Port district, in front of Paradise apartments" and pays him the amount needed. The driver nods at me. Axel then looks at me, nods and starts walking away as soon as the carriage sets off to its destination.

The ride goes without a hitch and the driver drops me in front of Uncle Leo's place. I quickly take the elevator and knock on Uncle's door.

"Welcome back, Cassie. Where is Axel?" asks Aunt Minerva.

"Hello, Aunt Minerva. Axel had some business to attend to, so he sent me ahead", I reply back.

"Did you find any leads?" asks Aunty Minerva.

"Yup, we did find one", I say. We don't have to hide anything from Aunt Minerva- she had known about the assassination before we came to know. She has nothing to fear because the families of commanders and vice commanders are always protected and, not to forget, she used to be an S-class rock mage when she was in Dragon-Heart.

"Leo said that Axel lost his cool last night", she says.

"Yeah! His eyes were flickering like crazy!" I exclaim.

"His red eyes, huh?"

"Yes", I confirm.

"Then he was not that angry", says Aunt Minerva.

"Huh? What do you mean, aunty?" I ask. Aunt Minerva asks me to have a seat. She pours tea into a teacup and hands it to me, which I gladly accept. She sips her own tea and says, "After Jane, Axel's and Lucia's foster mother and Adrian's mother, died, I was the one who took care of them. So in that sense, I was the one who had raised Axel, Adrian and Lucia alongside Kace. I still remember the day when they formed a team called 'Duncan siblings'. Axel was around 11 that time. Kace, being elder to Axel and Adrian by two years, was like a leader to them. Lucia was the strategist, Adrian handled the defence, Kace was primarily an assault devoted mage and Axel was the crowd control specialist. Axel used to be an expressive child before his mother's death, so I know exactly how he is when he is extremely angry. But after that demon incident nearly 6 years ago, he has become much more reserved. He tries to keep his emotions in check. What you saw last night was his repressed anger". I remain silent as I let the information she just gave me about Axel sink in. She continues saying, "But recently, he has started being expressive, just like that one time after his mother's death".

"Is it a good thing?" I ask. Don't get me wrong. I want Axel to be expressive. I have always found his mysterious yet open personality annoying, but addictive, and his answers are far from satisfactory and understandable. I also know how his emotions are linked to the demon, but hey!, it's not a sin to be cautious. After making me promise that I would be the one to kill him, I am scared that I will mess up. So I would rather have him not lose his control over emotions than to kill him.
