The End Was Different

During the events of the end, when Tord made the house collapse into rubble on top of Tom, things weren't the same as they should've been. Instead of Tom pushing the rubble off himself and shooting Tord's robot down with his harpoon, Tom never pushed the rubble off himself? It of course, worried Tord since thought Tom would've been perfectly fine but after a few minutes of the rubble not moving, what if he lands his robot and rushes over to the ruined house to move the rubble, expecting Tom to be ok? But how would he react if he sees...he had killed Tom instead?... How would he react that some rubble had impaled Tom straight through the chest which had killed Tom? What if Tord starts trying to find a way in his lab at the army base to revive Tom's body? But if he succeeds with bringing Tom back to life...would Tom ever be the same?...
