Vegas skies. That's all I think about when I hear her name. That's where I met her. That's where I lost her.

I ran directly into someone while I was walking around a mall in Vegas. When I looked down, it was a girl a decent bit shorter than me. She took a step back,
"Sorry about that." She smiled when we made eye contact. I shrugged it off,
"It's no problem." I folded my arms over my chest. She nodded and walked away,
"She's gonna be mine one day."

I like to think I was right. Multiple dates, conversations, and hang outs later, I just asked her. We were sprawled on a blanket staring at the Vegas sky. She flipped to face me and just stared. I caught her,
"What?" I smiled nervously. She smiled back and kissed my cheek,
"Nothing." Then, it all happened so fast. The man walked up, went for our stuff, and the rest is a blur. He disappeared and left what he had done. It was too late,
"She's gone."
